“Genuinely interesting, and much larger than expected.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2011

We went to the Glass Museum at the recommendation of our innkeepers (the 1750 Inn at Sandwich Center is directly across the street from the Glass Museum). The "film" (combination video and hologram) is excellent and provides a good foundation for viewing the rest of the exhibits. We were disappointed that we missed the glassblowing exhibition, as we had a bit of time between the film and the glassblowing, so wandered into the museum exhibits, became absorbed, and missed the glassblowing. The exhibits were excellent and well worth it.

We were totally unaware of the area's glass blowing history. Very interesting.

“Nice little historical gem in Cape Cod”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2011

The museum was interesting not only because of the wonderful exhibits, movies, the demonstration on how glass is made, but also because of everything it tells you about the history of glass making in Cape Cod, how it started, why they chose to set up in Cape Cod, some of the challenges they encountered along the way.

“This is a definite gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2011

My family and I stopped to visit the Sandwich Glass Museum. Went in not expected a lot but I was pleasantly surprised. First we were greeted by a friendly staff member who talked with my daughter about taking part in a treasure hunt. She spent the whole visit looking for special glass pieces that were on her paper. This made the museum interesting and educational for her as well as us. In fact there were some adult visitors that heard the children excitedly searching and wished that they had the paper so that they too could do the treasure hunt. It was a blast. At the end of the treasure hunt, the staff gave my daughter a prize for completeing it. The glass blowing demonstration was excellent. The women who did this was very knowledgeable. In all we were here for about two hours. I highly recommend that you stop here. You will not be disappointed.
