“A great place to relax”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2012 via mobile

We just got back from Maple House, where we did nothing but read, swim, play basketball and ladder ball, and play board games. Hung out on the grounds during the day (with a brief excursion to the town lake) and ate in Williamstown at night. There is plenty to do in the area if you prefer to keep busy with hikes or museum excursions. If you are headed to the Mohawk Trail, I recommend Maple House over an area motel. Rebecca is a gracious host and kids are welcomed.

we spent 3 nights at the Maple house B&B in August and we had a wonderful time!
Rebecca is a great person. my son, 6 y.o, would wake up in the morning and would go right downstairs to greet her and play outside with her dog. he was just behaving like at home, and we new he was in a secure environment.
Breakfast where freshly prepared for us with the produces Rebecca grows in her garden. it would vary every day, and was very yummy!
the room was rustic but nice, with a nice view onto the woods behind the house. my only complaint would be that the mattress was too soft, but I like futon like bed, so this is probably more my "fault".
the B&B is completely surrounded by nature. no other noises than birds and wind. we hiked in the woods to the little lake which is nearby, and then around the lake. it was a beautiful trail.
Rebecca was always happy to give us some good indications where to go. it is not too far from Zoar outdoor.
we would defenitely go back if we have the chance to. My son is already asking for it!

Room Tip: some rooms have shared bathroom. ask before booking

This was an awesome experience.
The owners were super nice.
The breakfast was great!
The yard was big!
We wish our bedroom had a fan in it overnight.
No TV in our bedroom made for a nice enjoyable old fashion country feel!
I would recommend to anyone.

The scenery at Maple House is beautiful, natural and calming, making this the perfect place to go for a quiet getaway. The owners seem like fantastic people and we had a great time conversing with them while enjoying the excellent and wholesome breakfasts prepared by Becky. We did a lot of trekking while we were there for the weekend around the lake and small mountains, and Becky was so helpful getting as all set up by printing out maps and highlighting the best routes, etc. A really fun idea would be to take advantage of their retreat/reunion package and rent out the whole house for the weekend (10 people) with friends or family. We hope to do that in the future!

Maple House is a quiet, picturesque B&B. Becky is very helpful in recommending places to eat, attractions and giving directions for the best way to get to a particular destination. We found her information very valuable in making each day fun and care-free. Her breakfasts are delicious, nutritious and filling.

I echo the positive reviews on Tripadvisor. The hosts, Becky and Mike, were accommodating and refreshingly laid-back. The breakfasts were imaginative, tasty, hearty and filling - a wonderful start to the day. This B&B is charming, comfortable and simple. It's like staying at a nice farm (which it is) without having to do any chores. I was attending a conference at Rowe Camp, so didn't have the time and opportunity to take advantage of the grounds at Maple House, but wish I had been able to explore them. I very much recommend the Maple House Bed and Breakfast.

My adult daughters and I spent three nights at Maple House B&B as part of a week-long visit to northwest Massachusetts and the Berkshires. Maple House was an excellent choice. It's a comfortable, rambling farm house on a quiet country road. The breakfasts were outstanding! The sleeping rooms are simple and cozy, and guests enjoy a comfortable sitting room, screened porch, and beautiful rolling yard. Host Rebecca Bradley is most knowledgeable about the region, and she's prepared binders full of helpful information about local attractions. The Rowe town park is a real plus; we enjoyed a morning of kayaking on the lake, and came back at night for a bonfire. The park is a 15-minute walk or 5-minute drive from Maple House, and its facilities are free for b&b guests. One piece of advice -- the B&B is truly in the country, and the nearest restaurant and grocery store are at least 30 minutes away. So be prepared for a drive when you need provisions. Rebecca provides a refrigerator for guests to store their own food; you might want to take advantage of that.
