“Would come back again”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2009

Highly recommend Seacrest Manor. Stayed in Room 7. Had it's own balcony with a view of Thatcher Island. Room was clean, comfortable and well-priced. B&B was quiet and well kept. Pat serves breakfast every morning. Breakfast is cooked to order. Usually she has one special breakfast dish (like orange waffles) or you can choose eggs any style with bacon and toast. Fruit, orange juice, coffee or tea also included. Would definitely come back!

One of the best B&B's we have stayed at in the USA. First impressions were clean & well cared for, the rooms were tastefully decorated and had every thing you needed. The area is quiet with not much more than the Sunday morning joggers passing. Seacrest is situated about 30 mins walk from the pictureque harbour of Rockport, which was a pleasure to just sit and watch the world go by.
Pat's hospitality was second to none, going that little bit extra to make you feel welcome. Real home from home. If we are in that area again we will certainly be back.

If you are looking for a beautiful old home in a peaceful location, with nice views, beautiful grounds and a gracious hostess, look no further --- Seacrest Manor is for you. We are fans of Cape Ann, its coast line, beaches, art studios and restaurants, and spent four weekends there this summer. After disappointing experiences at the Bass Rocks Inn (rooms clean, but pure motel, views and breakfast very good, hospitality minimal) and the Yankee Clipper (very expensive, third floor room with great views, stifling heat in the hallway and too warm in room, even with A/C blasting, slight musty odor, no hospitality), we stayed at the Seacrest in early August and liked it so much, we returned for Labor Day -- with our 8 month old baby. Seacrest Manor is a large, 100 year old estate home in a nice, quiet neighborhood about a mile from the center of Rockport. While not apparent from the street, it has a nice ocean view from the living room and the deck. the grounds are large, tranquil and well-maintained. Our eight month old enjoyed the 4 turkeys (birds, not guests--we found the other guests uniformly polite and considerate) who visited most days. Full breakfast, spacious, quiet rooms (nicely, but not luxurious decorated), and a great hostess who is always willing to help. The other plus is the beautiful walk along the coastline on Marmion Way to Old Garden beach and the center of Rockport, with post card views every 50 yards. It's great and very reasonably priced.

  • Liked — spaciousness, grounds, hostess, views, cleanliness and coastal walk
  • Disliked — no complaints whatsoever

I Travel a lot and have never found a better location. Seacrest Manor is a beautiful spot with a lovely view. We'd end the day looking at the ocean from the deck and start the day with their full-served breakfast after watching the sun rise over the Twin Lights. Honestly, the full served breafast was one of the best meals I've ever had.
What made the trip was the excellent service. Everyone was helpful and friendly. You'd really be missing out if you choose to go anywhere else.

We are so glad that we found this inn, it exceeded all of our expectations. From the character of the rooms to the welcome received from the staff.

Each day started with a first class breakfast that set us up for the rest of the day.

The gardens that surrond the inn were lovely and the view to the ocean from our room was spectacular.

If we were ever in Rockport again this would be the only place we would want to stay.

Highly recommended.

  • Liked — Peace and Quiet of the hotel and surroundings
  • Disliked — The breakfast was so good, wished they served dinner.

We just spent one night at the Seacrest Manor. We were headed back to Boston from Maine and did not want to stay at the airport. It turned out to be a good choice. What a cute little town with historic buildings and beautiful views. The Seacrest Manor is a beautiful old home. However, it is like a flashback to the 50's or early 60's inside. The Manor was clean and breakfast was nice. There is a big comfortable living room with a nice view, the grounds are pretty. Our room was fine, nothing special, but clean and adequate.
