“Terrible location!”

I mever been to Boston before so I asked my cousin who has been there for hotel suggestions. She's super cheap, not frugal, but cheap and I knew she'd find a good "deal". Sadly, I wish I never listened to her and went with my gut and spent a few more to save on time snd frustration.

I hate this location! I kniw on a map it looks like this hotel is a mile or two from the heart of Boston but let me tell you that its not a short drive to the city! This location has nothing near by so no good food or anything. Then, you can opt to take their complimentary shuttle which takes you to the subway but it takes forever to drive there and the you have to wait again for them to pick you up AFTER you give them a call. It's just a big waste of time! Save yourself a headache and get a hotel in a better location that saves you precious travel time. I know its cheaper but just don't do it! It's not worth the heache and wasteful time trying to get to and from the city.

As frequent travelers, my husband and I fly out Boston's Logan Airport often. We like to use the Plymouth and Brockton (bus line) service between Hyannis and Logan, but sometimes we want to drive.

On those occasions, we choose one of this Hampton's three "Park, Stay, and Go" packages: $229 for one night's lodging and up to 7 days parking at the hotel; $239 for one night's lodging and up to 10 days parking; or $259 for one night's lodging and up to 21 days parking. Note: If you need to park longer than 21 days, the hotel will charge a small fee for each additional day.

The Hampton Inn-Boston Logan provides scheduled shuttle service from hotel to airport every 20 minutes, and on-demand service from airport to hotel. We have always had very courteous, helpful drivers and never waited more than 10 minutes for the shuttle at either end of the trip.

The hotel staff is friendly. Our rooms have always been clean and quiet for a good night's sleep.

The hotel bar offers a limited menu of sandwiches, salads, and a few other items that can be prepared without a full kitchen; and it is a very popular place! In my experience (after 4:00PM), the tables are always full; there are people sitting at the bar, and guests standing in the doorway waiting for seats or for take-out. The servers work tirelessly to keep up with all the orders and are able to maintain good humour in the face of all they are called upon to do.

For our most recent stay, I booked a king suite (with the $239 "Park, Stay and Go" package). It was huge! And like every other room we've stayed in at the Hampton Inn- Boston Logan, the suite was clean, quiet, and comfortable in every way. A good solid value!

Note: The "Park, Stay, and Go" packages vary within the Hilton-branded hotels. For example, the Hilton Boston Logan has a "Park, Stay, and Go" package, but with different (higher) pricing and restrictions. Also, these packages do not show up if you are searching the Hilton website for reservations in some of discount categories. You have to find a room listing with a link containing the wotd packages" then click on that link to find "Park, Stay, and Go" options. Hope this helps!

The Hampton Inn Boston-Logan Airport was so convenient for us!
We flew in early from Pittsburgh, and they allowed us to have our rooms early, which was a real blessing. Then, to make matters even better, there was a free shuttle bus that took us to the train (metro?) station and picked us up too! All for free! (The train was VERY reasonable.)

The breakfast was great, featuring all the wonderful things Hampton breakfasts are known for. Then for a fee of $10, we were transported directly to the pier where our cruise was waiting.
We were very pleased with everything.... Reliable service....

Room Tip: It really worked out well for us!

we came in at the end of June to do some sightseeing in Boston for 2-3 days. The hotel itself is a really nice and meets the usual high Hampton Inn standards. We love staying at Hampton Inns cause of the price and value. The breakfast was wonderful with lots of options and variety for both hot and cold food. The rooms were impeccable and the service from the hotel was great. The hotel is nicely maintained and we loved staying there

The location of the hotel itself could be in a better place in terms of view around the hotel BUT if u are sightseeing, u aren't going to be in the hotel most of the day anyways. The area is quite safe but it is not in a location u can go for a stroll in the evening if u wanted

The hotel provide a free shuttle to/from the Blue line station at Wood Island.

That is SUPER convenient. It is ONE stop from the Airport stop so u can land and take the subway and when u get to Wood Island just call the hotel and they will come and pick u up within 5/10 mins

The Blue Line will take u straight into town and u can do ALL of your sightseeing without needing a rental car.

My ONLY complaint that i had was why, when they drop u off and pick u up from Wood Island,

they cant simply drive into the subway station parking lot to drop you off and pick u up. Would be much more convenient for customers rather than dropping them off on Bennington St and making guests walk. Especially when it rains, it is not the greatest idea to make guests get soaked and wet, especially if they have luggage. i would encourage the hotel to make this one change in their shuttle service. it is a no brainer from a customer service perspective

Other than that one thing, we enjoyed our stay

I'm o world traveler here but I know clean and comfortable and always hope for both. This place delivered in spades. The beds were extremely comfortable and the linens used were fabulous! A short drive south will get you into the city and a short drive north to explore the shoreline. We did both with ease. You won't regret your stay here.

We were very hesitant to stay at a hotel in Boston. They are all so pricey. We were extremely happy with Hampton Inn Boston-Logan. Having the shuttle was fantastic. We turned in our rental car and didn't drive around Boston. They picked us up and dropped us off at the Blue Line T stop every day. They also took us to a nearby Wendy's and picked us up. We never waited more than a few minutes.

Breakfast was very good. Each day they had a different variety of eggs/sausage as well as sweet rolls, bagels, fresh fruit and hot waffles. Everything was clean an always refilled and fresh. A huge task given their large hotel and numbers of guests.

The area isn't a garden spot but it's what we expected for so close to the airport and T. We actually had a nice view of a tidal marsh and watched a variety of birds every mornning and evening.

We stayed four nights and used the spa three of the four nights. The hot tub was HOT. Just perfect after walking all day.

My stay here at the airport was just one night - arriving at 9pm, and leaving at midday the next day. I like Hampton Inns because they are generally reliable, and this one is no exception.

As an example of the reliable service from Hampton Inns, when I got to my room (after a very efficient check in) the air conditioning wasn't working. I went back down to the reception to report this in person, as I wanted to get a drink from the bar. By the time I got back to my room, the maintenance man was there. ten minutes later, the problem was fixed. Very impressive.

The only reason I do not give this hotel a grade of five is that, like many other US hotels, there is a level of hypocrisy in the "green" messaging. There are some great posters in the lift, reminding us all to recycle, and repurpose waste. However, the coffee cups in the rooms and all of the dishes / cutlery at breakfast are single use / disposable and made of plastic or paper. This seems so wasteful - and the greening messages would be much more effective if this obvious waste could be reduced.
