After reading reviews on this hotel we decided to stay and fly. We spent one night at the Comfort Inn before an early flight and left our car for the week. The staff was pleasant and the rooms were nice the bed was very comfortable. We had an early flight in the morning and we had asked the desk clerk for a 5:30 wake up call unfortunately we did not receive that call but we did get up in enough time. We went down and had a little breakfast and then waited to be taken to the airport the shuttle is every 30 minutes. Upon our arrival we called for the shuttle to pick us up it only took approx. 15 minutes. We got in our car and left very easy. You have to make sure that you park in the white lines and not the yellow or you could be towed. The spots fill up very fast we were lucky that we got one. I will definitely be staying here again when i take my next trip. Hotel is real close to the airport.

Convenient to Boston Logan Airport, new, clean, reasonably priced, great for a one night layover. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast only basic but included in room rate. Free wireless internet, so we could stay connected.

We stayed two nights prior to flying home so we could see Boston. The foyer and staff were pleasant and the room was fine, with cable t.v a big bed and a very nice en suite. It was quite a popular hotel due to its location and price which meant there were a LOT of kids running around all hours. Not a pain just a minor inconvenience. A small kiosk with a microwave was not brilliant but not the end of the world. For the convenience and price I would use this hotel again as a layover.

Great reviews are warranted for this hotel! I had a very nice queen suite that was really well cleaned. The hotel offers a lot of great complimentary conveniences including wifi, breakfast and airport shuttle (every half hour). Surprisingly nice for a Comfort Inn - it was just that - very comforting!

5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2012

I had to make a sudden trip to Boston and was looking for a reasonably priced hotel in a decent neighborhood for one night. Well, there’s no such thing. So I searched a few miles north in Chelsea and Revere. Based on the reviews of the circa 1955 non-chain hotels in that area, they were all, well, unsavory. Single floor structures divided into cells with a door and a window that face the battered parking lot. As I later drove around the area, I found this to be the case.

Fortunately, I found the Comfort Inn in Revere. It is an 8-story hotel that was completely redone in 2010. Step inside and you feel as though you are in a nice mid-size hotel in Boston proper. On the first floor is a beautiful, spacious and well-lit lobby along with a very large and open breakfast area. Not the type that is typically pine chairs around tiny cocktail tables. This was a nicely appointed, well designed space for the complimentary breakfast, which, by the way, includes HOT food such as eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles along with the run of the mill toast, bagels, cereal, juice, coffee, etc.

The room was pricey at $139.00 for the area. It is not a nice area. Don’t leave anything in your car overnight. There are no burning tires on the other side of the parking lot, but the view from the 8th floor is the massive Necco factory. On the other side is a mostly vacant old strip mall. The hotel is difficult to get to and from due to the abundance of rotaries and roads that have impassible medians with no U-turns for miles. Google “jug handles” to get turned back around.

The room was very clean with a queen bed and freshly laundered duvet, desk, chair, stuffed chair, large flat screen, and an odd pleather couch. Bathroom was immaculate with fluffy towels for 4.

The staff was genuinely welcoming. Everyone was very pleasant and accommodating. Adjacent to the front desk is a small store for food items such as yogurt, frozen dinners, beverages, etc. A welcome touch, but I can’t comment on the prices as I didn’t buy anything. Hanging around in front are 3 shuttles, so if you are car-less, you have a ride to and from the airport.

On the first floor is an inviting, low lit swimming pool. Vending machines are (thankfully) limited to just floors 3 and 5. Exercise room also on 5. There is a pets floor and the entire building is non-smoking . . . except for the bench a few yards from the front door. There is a Mexican restaurant next door. It looked ok from the outside and there is an entrance to it from the hotel lobby.

Though I found it pricey, it was just what I wanted and needed after a tiring trip and it was very close to my final destination. You may do better on the price by searching for discount codes or by being a member of a club Comfort Inn recognizes. I asked for, and got, a 10% discount when I booked.

Room Tip: Skip floor 5.

Thank you very much for sharing your experience with us! I'm glad you enjoyed your stay at our newly renovated hotel and took advantage of many of our complimentary services and amenities. We are located next to the historic Necco candy factory, but we are also just a mile from Revere Beach "America's first Public Beach" and the closest open ocean beach to Boston. If you get a chance to stay with us again you can ask for a room facing the beach and it provides a very nice view of the ocean and the Revere beach boardwalk. The $139 rate you received is actually a fantastic rate for the Boston area in September, which is one of Boston's busiest months. As you mentioned most downtown Boston hotels can be outrageously expensive and we pride ourselves in consistently offering the best value and most competitive rates in the Boston area.

We hope to have you stay with us again and if I can assist with any future reservations please let me know!

Sincerely,

Darrell Smith
