Just as soon as we crossed over the first wooden bridge; We knew we were some place special. .. Five Bridge Inn provided my husband and our two children an amazing stay. From the beautiful foliage along the walking trails to the warm hospitality and quaint, clean room arrangements! It was as if we were wist away to the pages of New England Magazine, Yet its convenient location made it close to surrounding attractions. We are so lucky to have found this hidden gem and we recommend it to any family with great confidence!

Room Tip: The family suite was simply delightful

My husband and I travel from Philadelphia to southern New England for business and pleasure three or four times a year. We always look forward to staying at Five Bridge Inn because it has all the comforts of home and we have never been disappointed. As active guests, we enjoy biking, running, and walking the idyllic grounds. The hosts are always flexible to our busy schedule and a pleasure to know.

I will begin by saying this property was absolutely gorgeous. Driving up to the inn I felt it would be a wonderful experience, but I was mistaken. I called 15 minutes before our arrival to make sure our room was ready and I was told it was. Upon arriving, I was taken into the family suite and there were clothes scattered all over the bed. The Innkeeper said her granddaughter had been trying on school clothes and she removed them. Then I went into the bathroom where there was urine in the toilet and dirt in the sink. There were half-used toiletries and half-drunk water bottles in the cabinets. I was not given a room key, nor could one be located after asking twice. We then went out to the pool where we found rocks, bottle caps from bottles of beer and pieces of rusty wire in the pool. I could also see it had not been cleaned for quite some time. I had my 3 year-old with me and was expected to pay for staying in a dirty, un-lockable room and swim in a filthy unsafe pool. We tried to find someone to tell we were leaving and would not be staying there, but could not find anyone and had to call to notify them of our leaving.

It is really too bad we had this awful experience, because the place could be amazing. Seems like the owners just don't care.

Five Bridge Inn is my business but just as importantly it's our home. Life happens! Coincidentally that week, our daughter and their 3 young children (all under the age of 6), moved in with us while waiting to occupy their new home. My only regret is that our guest left with the feeling I didn't care...we care deeply.

My now-husband and I had the pleasure of having our wedding at The Five Bridge Inn and we cannot say enough about the inn, the grounds or the owners, Ann & Harold.

The grounds and the inn itself were beautiful and picturesque. From the meticulous landscaping to the lovely gardens, the grounds beg to be explored and enjoyed. As far as the setting for a wedding, there is nothing like it in the area.

Each of the charming rooms in the inn were carefully decorated; no room is like the other, but each are beautiful in their own right. Every room (because we had the entire inn for the weekend of our wedding, so are chosen guests each had a room) was clean and fully stocked with towels and toiletries. The common rooms - like the kitchen, the dining area and even outside around the pool were also clean and orderly, but also warm and welcoming. Everyone who stayed at the inn and who attended the wedding commented on what a comfortable, “at home” feeling the Five Bridge provided, while at the same time being elegant and uniquely New England.

Ann & Harold, our hosts were helpful, caring and treated us and our guests like old friends. Their gracious hospitality was always available, but they also gave us the space to just be and enjoy the experience of The Five Bridge. There was nothing that we or our guests wanted or needed for, and there was no request too small (or big!) that was not met.

Specific to our wedding, the planning was stress-free and easy. Their care, consideration and thoughtfulness made sure that every detail of our special day was exactly as we imagined. From start to finish, there is simply nothing we would change!

We are looking forward to staying at The Five Bridge in the future and for many years to come. We would happily recommend it as a place to stay for a romantic getaway, a quiet retreat or of course, to have the wedding of your dreams!

This is a wonderful B and B. We've had out of town guests and family stay on several occasions. The hostess (Anne) is warm and gracious, the food is fabulous and the setting is tranquil and relaxing. It's 20 minutes from Providence and about 45 mins from Boston and the Beach. There are loads of golf courses nearby and outlet shopping a short drive away. You can take classes at their fitness center too. Very reasonable for all you get, highest recommendation!
