We were a group with three rooms, booking a last minute summer vacation at this newly renovated property. Since it had just opened officially during the week before our stay, we expected that there might have been some minor problems that needed to be worked out.
Overall, we had a really nice stay. The rooms, while not large, were outfitted with roomy dressers, and the beds had nice quality sheets. The single chair in our room wasn't particularly comfortable, but we peeked in at higher-priced room and the chairs/tables seemed to be better. The "style" of the room was nice, as was the decor of the lobby. The bathroom renovation seemed only partial, but it was still serviceable.
The breakfast buffet was quite minimalistic, and we were bored with it after a couple of days. We ate a couple of times in the dining room for dinner and were pleasantly surprised with the quality.
As might be expected with new management/ownership, there was some problem with getting daily housekeeping timed to suit our needs, but the staff (housekeeping, front desk) was very pleasant and friendly. A few people seemed somewhat inexperienced but their attitude was upbeat and they tried their best.
A couple of particularly positive aspects: (1) We had a couple of maintenance-related problems (trouble getting the tv on, refrigerator not turning on, leaking a/c unit), but these were rectified very quickly by the maintenance staff...plus they gave us a discount for the inconveniences were experienced. (2) They have free loaner (cruiser style) bikes, great for a quick ride into the heart of Provincetown. (3) Nothing beats the dog-friendly location, directly across from a beach that is doggy heaven at low tide.
All in all, the stay exceeded our expectations. We would stay here for again for a family-friendly, dog-friendly vacation.

Fur-kids have a special place in our hearts, so we’re delighted to hear that your pup enjoyed the beach as well! We appreciate your understanding that in the beginning, the kinks needed to be worked out, but we are working now at full steam and things are running smoothly. We’re so glad to see that our Maintenance Engineers were able to help correct the problems in your room and that you enjoyed your meal at the Whaler Lounge.
