“Beauty on the water”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2013

When we booked our room sight unseen having only seen photos on their website, we were pleasantly surprised upon arrival to Dyer's beach house. Secluded, private and tucked away from the hustle and bustle yet only steps from the action on Commercial Street; this place offers it all. Our room was basically IN the water during high tide and we couldn't have been more pleased with the view. The room is quaint and comfortable as we dreamed a beach house would be, but still felt crisp and clean. Steps away is a secluded beach surrounded in a well manicured garden. A must try the next time you visit Ptown looking for some personal space and peace. We will be back!

Room Tip: We stayed upstairs, there are only 5 rooms.

Once you've paid your bill, forget about any service. The rooms are clean, but dated. Basic amenities are lacking (adequate number of towels, iron, etc.). There should be at least 1 full sized bath towel per guest - and at these prices, there really should be 2! The few towels provided were thin and rough. Overall, feeling that the owners don't invest a cent more than is absolutely necessary. We emailed the property managerz - twice - with a simple pre- stay question, and got no reply to either email. Poor, poor service and overall experience. While the view and the location are top notch, you're not getting any discounts here. Spend your money elsewhere, where the establishment takes the word 'hospitality' seriously.

Dyer's is a delightful little motel in Provincetown located on the main street, but down a driveway so you escape the noise of that busy street. Dyer,s is only a few blocks from the Boston Boat dock and on property parking is included. Most P'town restaurants and attractions are within walking distance. There are only 5 rooms and each one has a deck with comfortable furniture overlooking harbor and there is a stairway to the beach. The rooms, while not fancy, are clean and comfortable and include a refrigerator. You can enjoy a day of exploring P'town and come back to this quiet oasis and relax on your deck with cold drink resting up for the evening's activities.

Room Tip: Rooms on the 2nd floor require climbing stairs and are a bit smaller than those on the first. Decks...

Another wonderful stay at the Dyers. This time I stayed on the first floor corner room and was more than happy. Friends stayed in the the other rooms on the first floor so we had the deck to share. Again, no complaints about this place other than the beds can be replaced soon but nothing to make not go back. There is no other place that will get you as close to the water as Dyers. The sound of the waves was very soothing, And we were able to enjoy the last of the season's warm sun on the deck. We will be back!

Room Tip: The two upper rooms and side rooms have windows to allow plenty of sunlight. The first floor middle...

Found this place on Trip Advisor. The reviews were correct. It was charming and quiet due to being down a driveway from the hustle and bustle of Commercial Street. The room was small but had had 2 comfortable chairs, tons of light for reading at night, enough hangers in the closet, was spotlessly clean and the most amazing location, right on the beach. On a warm day, you have a choice of sitting on the beach, or on the deck right outside the room. I'm so glad that I found Dyer's and would go back in a heart beat.

Room Tip: Room 3 is on the corner, with a sliding glass door to the deck facing east, and and a window facing...

My partner and I booked Dyer's on Bookings.com in July so we could meet our friends for a few PTOWN days in late September. What a great place! Ask for rooms 1/2/or 3, first floor facing the water, great outdoor sitting and a view of Long Point and the light house. Great location to walk to all the restaurants and shopping on Commercial Street. Bill was wonderful and our room so comfortable! The wi-fi was fine btw. Will come back and stay again, no doubt!

We recently stayed 3 night at Dyer's Motel. When I called to book they only had one room left and it was the shared deck room, not the private deck which I would have preferred but decided to book anyway. So happy that I did! The room was super clean, well kept, and the shared deck was the best part -- actually think I may prefer it to the private. We enjoyed getting to know our neighbors and could have spent the entire 3 days out on the deck--it's a great view and peaceful just steps away from Commercial Street!

The staff was also great. Very friendly and accommodating--they had our room ready for us when we arrived even though check in wasn't for hours.

The downside: another reviewer also mentioned this and it's true, the only downside is the wi-fi doesn't work very well. Fix that and this place is perfect.
