“A great history lesson here”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2013

This tells a story of people working to save sailors during shipwrecks. It is located on the beach and well worth a visit.

“Amazing views like Whites Sands New Mexico”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 17, 2013

We were amazed at this area. Perfect for photographers. When you find the right angle...you can almost feel like you are out west in the desert. The drive to here is wonderful since its all a protected area.

“Fascinating History of Old Shipwreck Days”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013

Great spot to visit on the edge of Race Point Beach, but they're not always open. As you walk out to this old building, read the plaques you'll find along the boardwalk to learn about famous shipwrecks, how to look for whales rom this spot, and more, so worth a visit even if they're not open. Lack of federal funding may shorten their hours. Hope they still do the old-fashioned lifesaving demonstration on Thursday evenings. 6 PM? Free parking at Race Point beach by that time of Day.

“Really interesting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2012

This was a fun take that the kids will enjoy too. The little movies shed a little more like on the details of the time. The rangers at the station were great too.
