“A unique place tucked in the middle of Provincetown”

My wife and I stop here whenever in Truro or Provincetown. They have an unusual decor and great seafood. I love their boillabaisse!!

“A Service Suggestion”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012

A friend from out of town was visiting, and he's a vegetarian. I remembered Napi's menu had quite a few offerings. It was a week night and only half the downstairs dining room was in use. There was a private party upstairs. We were seated, placed a drink and appetizer order. Our waiter put them in and came back for our dinner choices. The drink and appetizer arrived in a timely manner. Our dinner was another story. After a half an hour we located our waiter and asked how much longer. He assured us it would be out soon. After another 15 minutes we asked the host if there was problem. He offered to check. We didn't see him again. Between 10 & 15 minutes later our waiter served us. He said the party upstairs was causing a back-up in the kitchen. So we've waited almost an hour for our dinner, with no attention from our waiter and a terse explanation why. If you're not offering the same service don't charge me full price. If I was Napi's I would have been proactive and offered to comp a dessert, etc. As it was, I asked for a reduction of the bill. Been awhile since I'd been, will be awhile before I think about going back.

“Not our kind of food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2012

The bar scene is very good, nice atmoshere, and friendly.

The food is different, the combination of spieces is different, to us wierd, and not to our taste

Service was good, a little pricey.

“Best restaurant on the Eastern Cape!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2012

We discovered Napi's by accident, but have since learned it is well known and loved by locals. The Portuguese inspired dishes are perfectly prepared, and served by a well trained and attentive staff. Our favorite dish is the King's feast- a lobster topped bouillabaisse that is the best bouillabaisse we've ever tasted. The decor is an interesting collection of local art and unusual objects that abound without seeming cluttered. We've been back several times, and the experience never fails to please. No trip to the Cape is complete without a trip to Napi's.

“Just ok”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2012

Maybe it was because we had eaten at The Mews the night before and were blown away by the food but Napis was just ok. Food was good but not amazing and the service was just fair. We asked our waiter a question regarding food ingredients and prep for a certain dish and he answered with "I really don't know" and never even offered to go find out.........

Would maybe give this another shot before I ruled it out but was underwhelmed at the first visit.
