“Great seafood and service!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2013

What a great dining experience! We both ordered the clambake for $30. Steamers are an extra $4, if you don't like the mussels. It came with bread, choice of soup, salad, lobster, corn, potatoes, and mussels. A great deal! We were initially disappointed that they were out of steamers, however their mussels were delicious. Steve our waiter was fantastic!! He really reminded us of why we came to Provincetown and why we chose to return to the Lobster Pot.

“Good place for seafood, casual”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2013 via mobile

Had lunch there with my husband, the tuna sashimi was good but tasted like unfrozen fish (not fresh), the ceasar salad was Good, big shrimps. Oysters seemed fresh. Overall it was a good option in town as the other restaurants did not seem super. Excellent service. Very simple ambiance with a great view.

“Don't believe the hype!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2013 via mobile

Went for the 1st time last night after being referred by several friends and initially the great atmosphere had us anticipating a great meal. Wound up waiting 15 minutes for a server that seemed to not be bothered as to whether we had drinks, salad, bread, etc and ultimately wound up with an over-cooked, over-priced boiled lobster (how does that happen?), a chewy filet mignon even cooked rare (sauce on it was good though) and rubbery scallops. $127.00 Later (for 2 people) we had wished we just got burgers. The place itself has a great vibe and we really enjoyed the atmosphere. We just don't get the "hype" surrounding the food.

“Best Seafood”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2013

Lobster Pot is "the" place for a great dining experience. If seafood is you favorite, this is the place! Everything is prepared to perfection, great quantity and top quality. There are 2 levels. Both have water views. The upstairs seating area includes the bar with bar stools and tables as well as regualr dining tables. The lobsters are fantastic and available in all sizes. The ClaimBake is an all-time favorite. If seafood is not for you, the menu includes a variety of meat and vegitarian dishes. The dessert menu is vast if you have enough room left. Prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. Very good service and always attentive to your needs. If you see a long line in season, don't panic, it moves very quickly due to its size and number of tables. Worth the wait.

“EXCELLENT what else can I say”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2013

I make sure to eat here at least once or twice a year for over 30 years. The food is excellent, most seats have a water view. The price is reasonable. They've been recommended by resteraunt critics, had a book written about them. Its just a delightful place. Best time to visit would be spring or fall because unfortunatly there is ALWAYS a wait no matter what day or time you go in the summer. If that's the only time you're in the area, I would say it's worth the wait.
