We recently (12.30.12) dined at Lorraine's once again - this time we were a party of 6, we introduced 4 friends to this place......and we were not disappointed! The Margaritas were tasty (if you like REAL Margaritas, made with fresh lime and juice, and you can appreciate the taste of good tequila, well Lorraine's is about the only place in p'town to go - if you are looking for the frozen overly sweet kind, you know the ones made in an Oasis Blender- go to one of the summer touristy type of places). THE FOOD: most of our party ordered fish tacos - and the table fell silent as we were dining - the only comments I heard were "These are SOOOO good" & "Thank you for brining us here !". I ordered 'off the menu' requesting one of Lorraines vegetarian burritos which has been gone from the menu for a few years - but if you ask chances are good that they will make one up for you too - the they are loaded with grilled veggies, rice, & great red sauce on top - I had enough left over for lunch the next day! The service was great (and the place was very, very busy!) ONE WORD OF CAUTION: If you bring a party of 5 or more - #1 make a reservation (even in the winter) & #2 Don't believe the note on the menu that states "18% gratuity automatically added to the bill for parties of 5 or more" - They did not add that to our bill and our waitress (who was fabulous) was almost neglected her tip . All in all it's a great restaurant with authentic mexican food (if you eat at Mexi fast food chains, don't expect that kind of 'food' at Lorraines - she serves the real deal)
