“Just beautiful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2013

No more than a 15-20 minute stroll from the centre of town past the beautiful West End homes with their pretty garden, you reach the Causeway. Don't be put off by an large groups lingering at the start for a photo op - or by the few who can only walk the first hundred yards along it. Do the walk - and linger near the centre looking at the truly lovely scenes in both directions. No matter the time of day - or the state of the tides - the abundance of wildlife and natural beauty is amazing. I've lost count of the number of times that we have just sat on those rocks looking out. For us, it's probably the No.1 attraction in P'town.

“IT's the Breakwater!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2013

Don't let your fear of water rats, giant spiders, massive tide changes, or horseshoe crabs deter you, this is a "must-do" for those visiting Provincetown, and its the only way to get out to the very end of the Cape if you don't want to pay for a boat ride. It's a challenge, not for small children, there are some gaps between the rocks and low water points where the tide really comes through, so go at low tide, where some good shoes that you don't mind getting wet, and plan for about a two hour round trip. The mosquitoes will feast on you at dusk, be prepared. If you go at high tide, you can find a lot of places to dive off the rocks in to the water, but be smart, there are some rocks and shallow places that you can bust your head on if you are not careful. I wasn't kidding about the spiders or the rats, but they will generally leave you alone.

“Long walk - go in trainers/sneakers”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2013

This is fun and exciting if you are fit and wearing the right footware! Over a mile and a half long with gaps and jumps between some of the stones - the view is great and looking at the mussel beds at low tide is really good. However, don't go if you have any mobility problems.

“Quite Beautiful”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2013

It's difficult to find parking, so why not drive. You will smell the salt in the air, and you will enjoy your time, here. I'm glad that I made the trip out to Provincetown.

“Gorgeous”

This was a highlight of our trip. Its about 2 miles, roundtrip. Go at low tide, bring water and sunscreen. Wear sensible shoes, as your mother would say - it's worth it!!
