From the moment we arrived we were delighted with our choice. We found a beautiful, friendly and traditional guesthouse. The hosts were fantastic, the building and grounds were immaculate, interior tastefully decorated and comfortable and all the little personal touches, made it a home from home. The rooms may be considered to be small if compared with a 5 star purpose built hotel, but this is a traditional guesthouse in historic Providencetown and not a multi-million pound hotel in one of US's biggest cities. This is part of the charm of the Oxford and of the area. Everything was absolutely spot on...the service included being picked up and dropped off at the ferry, coffee and homemade cookies being provided throughout the day. The warmth and enthusiasm of the owners all help to create a real homely feel.

On our next visit to Provincetown, the Oxford will be our first choice!

Our 10th visit to The Oxford, a guesthouse that we fell in love with back in 2000 along with Provincetown.
You are made to feel so welcome by Stephen and Trevor the owners
Our favorite room is the Greyfriars which is not the biggest room in the house, but is very comfortable and its light decor makes it a cool and relaxing room.
We would not hesitate to recomend The Oxford to family and friends and once you have stayed you will want to return again and again.

I came with my boyfriend and a friend, and we loved the Oxford! The rooms were very nice and clean. The owners and freshly-baked cookies were excellent. The Oxford is located close to the center of town, but just far enough away to avoid the noise at night. Highly recommended!

I have never spent July 4th holidays in the USA as I am from the UK. It was great to be in P-town for the festivities and the atmosphere. It was even nicer staying at The Oxford! I had a number of friends who recommended that we stay there. From my very first communication with Stephen and Trevor to book the room through to our personal drive to airport and goodbye they were faultless. It is a very casual, laid back type of Guest House. The rooms were more than comfortable and even though the house was full you never heard any noise from other guests. Having the dog follow you about the house and garden really makes you feel like you are at home. I have stayed in many good guest houses in P-town. The Oxford was great. Thank you and look forward to making The Oxford my new place to escape.
