“Amazing stay and super friendly owners”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2011 via mobile

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights and had an amazing stay during our time at 8 Dyer. Frank was extremely helpful in offering possible places to dine and went out of his way to even reserve a time at Ten Tables. Tim had an amazing spread for breakfast each morning. We are already looking forward to our next trip to P-town and will definitely be staying at 8 Dyer again! Thanks Frank and Tim for showing what true hospitality is!

We had a lovely mini break in Provincetown and Dyer 8 made the stay perfect! With lovely location in the town, nice pool area and super friendly owners the stay could not fail. Frank and Tim greet you with open arms and you feel welcomed into their warm and chic New England house. Rooms are smart with lovely beds and fireplaces. If you go in summer, check if the one with a private terrace is free. If I lived closer by I would return again and again…

Room Tip: 10 in summer

We stayed at the 8 Dyer as part of a trip round Martha's Vineyard and Cape Cod, and were delighted with everything about the hotel. We stayed in Room 10, with the great private outside terrace / deck and its table / chairs and loungers. The room itself is on the smaller side, but well laid out so that all the available space is used as efficiently as possible. The lovely linen, great gowns and teriffic toiletries all enhanced our stay - as did being able to splash around in the pool after a long day cycling round Cape Cod's National Seashore!

Breakfast is a buffet-style continental selection, with loads of fruit, pastries and coffees - the highlight being the homemade granola with ginger.

Frank (we didn't meet Tim during our stay) is an excellent host, going out of his way to help us out - from finding restaurants (we'd recommend his recommendations to us - The Mews and Victor's) to providing maps and handy advice on the area.

We'll definitely go back to the 8 Dyer if we find ourselves in P-Town again.

My husband and I just spent 6 days in Provincetown, and I must say it was this hotel that made our stay. Our room was impeccably clean, beautifully designed, and it had the most comfortable bed I have slept in.
Breakfast was A-mazing! Tim's home-made muffins and quiches were to die for, and there was always a great selection of fresh fruits, yoghurts, and pastries available.
Tim and Frank were more than in-keepers; they were so friendly and welcoming that they made us feel like staying in our good friends' house. They were very attentive without being obsequious - just the perfect hosts!
I would stay in Dyer 8 again without hesitation, and I highly recommend it to anyone.

The place is beautiful, attention to detail on every aspect of the place makes you feel like you've stepped into another world. We stayed in Penthouse 2 and did not want to leave. We loved our room and the whirlpool bathtub in the open-loft looking out over the room. The breakfast in the morning was amazing - fresh fruit, yogurt, croissants, homemade quiche, coffe, juice - YUMMY!
The location is perfect, easy stroll into town. The owners are absolutley charming and so nice, catering to your every need.
We're booking our return now!

I went to Ptown as part of a roundrip that took us from Marthas Vineyard via Ptown to Boston and NYC. 8 Dyer was the highlight hotel-wise from this trip!
Everything from the lovely atmosphere to Franks (we didn´t get to meet Tim) enthusiasm about telling us where we should eat and what we should see was fantastic.
As it happens, we ordered what we thought was a twin bed room, but at the time of arrival there were only single beds at the hotel. Frank therefore gave us the room with the biggest single. We saw a couple of the rooms, and they all look really nice by the way!
The breast was lovely, the bath series is AMAZING and If this was our last stop before returning to Europe, I´d never want to leave.
Sadly for Frank was a victim of our jetlag, and had to make us breakfast quite early, but he greeted us with a smile and fresh bagels anyway :)
Although Provincetown is quite a journey from Norway, I´d love to see it in season, and when I go I´d book a room at 8 Dyer in a heartbeat!
Good luck with the summer-season guys, I bet it will be great!

We arrived in Provincetown on a cold drizzly weekend in April. We were somewhat apprehensive, given the weather and the adolescents, but were delighted with what we found. Our hosts Tim and Frank were attentive, welcoming and masters of the art of fine detail. The rooms were spacious and immaculate. I am not a breakfast person, and yet I had seconds, thanks to Tim's culinary skills. Our children were smitten with their Irish Terrier, Emma, ( impeccably behaved - of course.) The fire crackled in the expansive hearth, and the common room was filled with newspapers, magazines and an extensive collection of films. With such unmatched hospitality, one can forget about the weather. I can only imagine if we were able to sit on the deck or hop into the heated pool...
Thank you Tim and Frank!
Can't wait to return....
