“go to the 2nd and 3rd floor”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2013

You will be amazed at what you will see on the 2nd and 3rd floors. It could be in any museum, yet it is in the library. It took many years to build. Do not miss it

“Unique and lovely library”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

A friend recommended that we visit the library. There is a large size model of a ship between the second and third floors. You can also see scenic views of Provincetown from the third floor windows. We were glad we stopped by.

“Worth the 10 minutes”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2013

Since the library is free and conveniently located to town, you really can't go wrong with a quick stop in to see the Rose Dorothea.

“nice library”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2013

If you need a break from the sun (or even bad weather), venture into the library which has a large replica of a sailboat re-assembled over a period of 12 years in the center. If you take the elevator (or stairs) up to M level (top floor), you have nice views of the harbor and tops of the town. There's also web access, restrooms and water fountain....not to mention plenty of books to peruse and pass the time.

“Must take a look!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2013

The Children's Room of the Provincetown Public Library contains a 66" long half-scale model of the Rose Dorothea, the largest indoor fishing schooner model in the world. It took more than 11 years to complete and was dedicated on June 25, 1988. The real Rose Dorothea, captained by Capt. Marion Perry (and named after his wife), won The Fishermens Cup in Massachusetts Bay in 1907. Absolutely amazing :)
