4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2013

The Cape Colony Inn was a great place to stay in Provincetown! My husband and I stayed 2 nights to celebrate our 1 year anniversary! The staff was very pleasant and helpful! The room was spotless! Loved the bed! We also spent time by the pool and it was lovely! Overall everything was great! A+++

Room Tip: Loved the king size bed!

This was my first time at this hotel and I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were clean, recently renovated in a tasteful style, and comfortable. The hotel was quiet. It had decent amenities including cable, Keurig coffee maker, microwave, and fridge. It had others I didn't use such as Weber grills for use by gifts, a nice swimming pool, and a shuffle board. The continental breakfast had a generous selection. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location also was good. Public access to the beach was straight through a cross street toward Commercial Street. In the east end, it was about a 15 minute walk to PTown center, but there were plenty of galleries along the way, and from a sightseeing point of view whether you went down Commercial Street or one street over on Bradford Street, it was a beautiful walk.
Definitely will take advantage of the Cape Colony Inn during my next vacation in Provincetown.

Room Tip: Definitely plan ahead a couple of months out. Provincetown is not the place to expect a room on a tw...

We just got back today from two nights in Provincetown staying at the Cape Colony Inn. I have been to PT probably over 30 times over the years and have stayed pretty much everywhere there. This place was great! The staff was awesome. The rooms were recently renovated and very large. But the didn't reno the bathrooms which I thought was kind of strange. We spent two nights there. Upon arriving in PT after getting off the fast ferry from Boston....we asked where the shuttle picks us up. Just walk down MacMillan pier to the end of the parking lot and go left by the public rest rooms. There is a bus that goes to N. Truro...take this bus. it's $2 each way. but you have to let them know by ringing the bell when you want to get off. So keep this in mind when you are driving there - it's like 5 minutes from the pier by bus. The hotel is WALK from town so if you are going to walk make sure you don't have a ton of luggage. Also it's a walk back into town when you want to go in.... so plan about 15-20 minutes from hotel to say the Lobster Pot area of Commecial. It's beyond the Surfside on the east end if you have been there before to give you perspective. the room was well appointed with king bed (great mattress!!), lots of drawer space, Keurig coffee maker and a decent fridge and microwave. Decent size flat screen TV and a desk. I slept like a baby! They have lots of parking and a heated pool that is open pretty late. they offer a continental breakfast in the morning with waffle maker, bagels, yogurts. Overall it was a great experience and we were able to get it pretty last minute in July.

Me and my boyfriend stayed in this motel 3 nights in July 2013. This was a perfect choice: for the lowest price in Provincetown we got a very nice, fully equipped room, tasty breakfast and a pool. You can eat your breakfast at the pool area, which is also very nice in the morning, and then go/ride to the city center -- it will take you about 10-15 minutes walking or 3 min. riding the car. I would highly recommend this hotel.

My wife and two grown daughters recently stayed here and we were very pleased with the Inn, its location, and its staff. It was a very quiet and comfortable stay. The rooms were very clean, the continental breakfast was very good, and the staff were very helpful. There is a nice heated pool open until midnight as well. It is also a good place for families with children.
From the Inn it is about a 25 minute walk to the heart of Provincetown. It is only a block to Commercial Street from the Inn and that is the best way to go, with lovely art galleries along the way as well as some first class restaurants and views of the Bay. Occasionally we would drive down to the Pier to the public parking but most of the time we walked back and forth to the heart of town. If you drive too much you will miss the scenery, which includes the beautifully maintained, weathered Cape Cod houses and their flower gardens.
We will definitely stay here again in the future.

My husband and I stayed at Cape Colony Inn the weekend after the 4th of July. I was pleased with the prices compared to other places in the area. We visit P-town usually once a summer and have stayed in other motels, but the next time we stay over night, we'll probably stay here again. We were allowed to check in a little bit early which was nice, and the staff was very friendly.

The down side was that the temps were in the 90s when we were there and the a/c in the room couldn't really keep up. To be fair, my husband and I like to sleep in a very cold room, but we didn't get the greatest night's sleep because it was warm.

We didn't bother trying to walk into town because it's kind of far (20 min.walk, at least), but we might've made the hike if it wasn't so hot outside. Driving in was easy enough. We love Provincetown and we'll most likely stay at Cape Colony Inn again the next time we visit.
