“excellent value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2013

As others have noted, the beds are wonderfully comfortable, far beyond what one would expect at this price point. Also a plus was the friendly, helpful staff. Fresh fruit and bottled water were available at all times in the office. The room had a new tv,, mini fridge and kuerig machine.

The bathroom was not updated but it was clean. Unfortunately the wireless internet wasn't working well the weekend we were there hence the 4 stars instead of 5. However, I would definitely stay here again and I heartily recommend the hotel.

I went with a friend to Provincetown for the first time and took a chance on Cape Colony Inn and it was above and beyond what either of us expected. I would choose to stay at this hotel over any of the others that we came across, the cost was great, the hotel was newly renovated, the staff was friendly, the pool was heated, what more could we ask for. Great great great experience!!!

My partner and I along with our dog arrived late on Saturday night early in May/13 (around 10ish) after a long drive from Ottawa, Canada. Steve the general manager greeted us with open arms. He was very gracious, accommodating everything you expect or hope when arriving after a long stressful drive. The room was extremely spacious, clean. The bed was so comfortable! The renovations they have done are amazing! On top of that, all of the staff are extremely friendly. Any questions we had they did their best to answer. They are pet friendly (be aware they require a pet contract) but as long as you are a responsible pet owner, picking up after your pet etc, there won't be any problems. Also parking is included (I believe 1 spot per room) which is such a bonus, if you have been to Provincetown and understand how hard it is to find parking. Also where it's situated in relation to downtown, was perfect for us. It's far enough from downtown that when you are done, you can walk back and it's quiet. But close enough that its not a ridiculous hike to get to the main area. Another bonus is that a continental breakfast is included. We will be returning for sure in the years to come. And have recommended the cape colony inn to all of our friends that visit Provincetown. Well done guys!

Thank you for taking the time to review the Cape Colony Inn. A warm friendly greeting whenever a guest arrives is just the beginning of a wonderful stay. The renovations to our spacious rooms include the new Simmons Beauty Rest Pillow Top Mattresses that are some of the most comfortable. Adding new in room amenities like flat panel TVs and k-cup coffee makers as well as many other items adds to a great guest experience. Even with all the wonderful upgrades to our rooms we still accept pets. Being able to travel with your pet is always a pleasure. I am proud that my staff and I created a friendly and comfortable atmosphere for your stay in Provincetown. We look forward to your next visit to the Cape Colony Inn. Steven Sleeper, General Manager

Our guest at desk, Sheila, and has a mather of fact, all the personel we've met there, were the nicest and most resourcefull people. The room was very clean, quiet and comfortable, and the mattres were brand new. Provice Town is a paradise. They could ameliorate the breakfast thought.

I just returned home from a 5 night stay at the Cape Colony. It was a very pleasant trip and and place to stay. The beds are heavenly and the staff are very helpful. It is an excellent value. It is a little walk from the downtown Commercial Street area. However, we enjoyed the nice walk each day. We were able to enjoy the included continental breakfast by the pool each morning. Cory was particularly helpful and the morning shift lady at the desk was indeed cheeful and a gracious host for the morning breakfast. (Sorry I forgot her name). I am looking forward to staying here again. The rennovations are definitely very nice and I know that they are continuing to upgrade the hotel.

Room Tip: If you have a lot of luggage like we did, request a downstairs room. The hotel has two floors that...

My husband and I needed a relaxing get-away. Stayed at the Cape Colony Inn three nights. It was very cozy and comfortable. The staff was so friendly, accommodating and helpful, it was amazing! When we asked for something Steve was at the door almost before we hung up the phone! We had stayed there before renovations were done, and it was nice, but now the room looks so "beachy" fresh and beautiful. The wall colors, bead board, drapes, lighting fixtures, and great artwork looked terrific. We were told the picture above the bed is just one of many different Cape scenes chosen in a contest the Inn's new owner(s) sponsored. Each room has a different scene. What a great idea, having local folks artwork displayed at the Inn. We've stayed in lots of places with fridges in rooms, but this is the first time we had one with a REAL freezer. We're hoping to go back to the Cape Colony Inn as soon as we have another chance to get away. They made us feel so welcome. I wish I knew the names of all the staff we met, but for now a big thank you to Sue, Steve, and Melissa. We'll be seeing you.

Why I chose the Cape Colony: they allowed a two night stay on a holiday weekend, while most hotels in the area require 3 nights and their price was also very reasonable. They're about a mile walk into town, and continental breakfast is included.

Why I probably won't choose the Cape Colony again: They supposedly recently renovated, but the only thing that seemed new/fresh to me was the paint on the walls. The bathroom, while clean, had definitely not been updated, and the furniture was old. The TV and fridge looked new, though. The continental breakfast, while it did include fresh make them yourself Belgian waffles, didn't start until 8am, and being an early riser, by then I was aching for my first cup of coffee. The vending machine only took quarters - and many of the selections, while full, did not work. I'd also rather pay another $25/night, and be closer to town.

Things I enjoyed: the bed was delightfully comfortable - soft as a cloud pillow top mattress. The Belgian waffles (yes, I have mentioned those twice - they were GOOD). The fridge in the room - nice convenience.

Sandi, Thank you for staying with us at CCI. We are glad you enjoyed our new Simmons Beautyrest Pillowtop mattresses, and breakfast featuring fresh hot waffles. Each room is equipped with a complimentary Keurig coffee maker and Green Mountain coffee and we will make sure it is more visible in the rooms. In case you had not visited with us before, the renovations we just completed were quite extensive. We gutted each room down to the studs and installed new walls, ceiling, flooring, drapes, window treatment, mattresses, flat screen tv's, two door fridge/freezer units, lighting, artwork , new fire alarm system, and much much more. We plan to complete phase 2 for the 2014 season replacing the bathroom vanities, although every bathroom for 2013 was totally re-grouted, painted and most toilets replaced. We will be sure to take a look at the vending machine. We hope you will visit us again and we appreciate your business and feedback.
