“Great view and tons of info”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2013

Quite a few steps to the top, but the great view compensate well for it.
The accompanying museum has some good films and items to explain early settlers history.

“Great View”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2013

Our family loved the Pilgrim Monument and the amazing views from the top! It was fun to walk to the top which was easy for the kids but a slower go for mom and dad! Just pace yourself and you'll be fine. We had one child chicken out because she was afraid of heights.

There was a wonderful show in the gallery with interesting artifacts from coastal New England!

A must do whe your in PTown! The parking lot costs $10 but you receive a free adult ticket to the monument. You canpark all day and its an Easy walk down to town.

“Rude kids!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2013

It's a nice view at the top of the monument - but the kids are just so rude! Swearing and cursing the whole way up, with parents who just seem to have given up. The viewing area at the top is small, at best, and you feel like you're up there with hoodlums. Unfortunately, the museum at the bottom isn't much better --- what is wrong with parents these days, where they can't control their kids??? They let their kids ruin the experience of other visitors. No where did I see this more than at the monument!

“Quite a trek up but beautiful views!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2013

We were doing a dolphin trip at 10 and i had wanted to go up in the monument too so we walked quickly up the hill to the monument entrance. We had already parked of course done by the marina and i think it was $3 per hour but i did note that the monument parking was $10 for the day so probably a better deal and i think it gave you money off admission too.
anyway, we weren't sure how long the climb would take so we talked to the very helpful staff at the front desk and decided to make a go of it. The admission price was good all day so he told us we could come back after the dolphin trip. We made the climb in about 10 minutes or so--it was definitely a work out! Lots of stairs and ramps--there are stones from many different cities who contributed during the construction and that was interesting to see. I am not claustrophobic but I think if you were, then this might get to you. Once up at the top, it was beautiful with great views in all directions. It was a clear day and very lovely to get the perspective from the top. They have pretty much "caged" it in--so you are looking through fencing, but it is possible to get pictures. We spent 5-10 minutes up there and we were the only people we saw the whole time! Unfortunately, we never made it back for the museum but wish we had...it looked to be very well done

“Interesting museum and nice view of Ptown port”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2013

The museum is interesting but could be better organized. It has 3 videos to see. One can snack on the grounds while pondering the view over Ptown and its bay. NIce shop with loads of curios and books.
