Truly, a treat. I traveled with another woman for a weekend getaway. We stayed in a room at the top of the house with 2 beds and a small deck. The room was rustic and charming (others are more upscale, if that is your preference) with a small frig, TV and VCR. We could enter through the front door or our own outside staircase.

Breakfast was out of this world, with the best cup of coffee ever!

Christine and Ken were knowledgable and helpful with directions and sightseeing advise. It was great to be a little out of town and close to a less populated beach...yet within minutes we were in "the thick" of Plymouth tourist attractions.

I would confidently recommend The White Swan Bed & Breakfast to anyone!

The White Swan is terrific. It's an old house, cleverly divided into guest rooms with private bathrooms, and the top floor rooms have their own mini-decks.

We stayed one night with our pre-teen daughter in the Upper Deck Room, with a queen bed and a twin bed. It's a fairly small attic room, but nicely set up with air-conditioning available if you want it - it came in handy when it started to rain and we had to close the screen door to the deck. The bathroom had a shower, and was very clean. The twin bed was tucked into an eave and trimmed with lace panels, so my daughter had a little privacy, yet we could still see her. Each bed had a pretty blue and yellow quilt. She was thrilled with the decor, and mini-Snickers that proprietors Ken and Christine had set out for her on the side table. They are lovely, warm people.

A sit-down breakfast (not family style, they serve you individual plates like a restaurant) was served at 8:30, and was very nicely done. It consisted of a banana coconut smoothie in a goblet, coffee, juice, fruit cup, vegetable frittata, breakfast potatoes, melon slice, muffin half, and two strips of bacon. They offered my daughter a choice of cereals if she preferred that to the cooked breakfast, which she appreciated. I'm not sure what they do for guests that want to sleep late or prefer to eat by themselves, so be sure to ask Christine and Ken about it if you're not into meeting new people at breakfast. We really enjoyed sharing a meal with the three other couples staying there - it's a good idea to practice our conversational skills once in a while!

Downstairs on the main floor, the living room is beautifully furnished with antiques and oriental rugs. There are nice sitting areas in the back yard too. It's just a few blocks from the beach. Parking is off-street in their spacious driveway.

We were thrilled with the White Swan and will definitely stay there again.

We have just returned form a weekend gateway at The White Swan. We stayed in the The Wisteria Suite. It was huge and comfy. It even had a guest room for kids and a huge bathroom with a stand-alone tub. The hosts - Christine and Ken- were awesome. They even surprised us with a champagne for our anniversary, waiting in the room for us when we arrived. The breakfast was delicious as well. The location is great. It is right by the beach. It is also just outside of downtown Plymouth and is very close to Boston, Cape Cod, Nantucket, Martha's Vineyard and Newport, RI. We will stay there again!
