“Great little find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2014

Went for a quick bite. Crab soup to die for. Got a cup. Wish it was a bowl. Buffalo cauliflower also to die for. Oysters also yummy. Can't wait to go back and try something new or the same!

“Rediscovered Blue-Eyed Crab”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2014

My wife and I stopped in on a Sunday afternoon for beers [me] and wine [her], after walking out of the nearby Waterfront Grille & Bar -- the rather dour manager there told us we could not sit at an outside table unless we were ordering food. Fair enough, I suppose, but she said this AFTER a hostess had seated us. We looked at each and said almost simultaneously, "Let's get out of here." Probably won't go back, either. Terrible way to treat customers -- like they're a nuisance.
In any case, we walked over to Blue-Eyed Crab, which we had not been to in quite some time. The redesigned/expanded dining room was delightful, with a relaxed/hip vibe that made us feel welcome and, well,. relaxed. The draft PBR was way overpriced -- $8 for 22 oz., what a profit margin! But the wine was reasonable, and though we didn't order dinner [we already had plans for later], the swordfish and tuna special on the chalkboard sounded fantastic [if a bit high-priced for Plymouth]. We're not rum drinkers, bu the selection here is vast enough to send Capt. Morgan running for cover. The bartender was attentive and pleasant [though the place was not super busy, so not an indication of how she might operate under pressure.
We also liked the Bob Marley lyrics under glass on the bar top, mon.
Seems like the volume level could be a concern here when the place is full [but nothing could be as bad as he noise at Driftwood Publik House, the street a ways], but we plan to go back and find out. Waterfront Grille's loss, our gain..

“Nothing outstanding”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2014

Have been wanting to give this place a trysince it is always so busy. The patio was full with a wait so we sat inside. Had to wait a while for our server to show up, don't know why since inside was so empty. Took our drink order and answered some questions we had about the menu. We opted for the grilled shrimp salad and crab sandwich. The corn bread was very dry and burnt on one side when delivered to our table. Our meals arrived and both looked very good. The crabcake was very mushy and could have been cooked a little bit more. Slaw was tasty but you were given a shot glass full. Said it had pickled jalapeno's on it, but could only find one small piece. The salad was much better. 5 large, grilled shrimp with lots of greens. One thing is they put toooo much jicama on the salad. It was a good meal, but nothing out standing like some people write.

“Great Drinks!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2014

The best Margarita I have had - The Cilantro Pear. Good beer on tap & decent price.
Unfortunately we went on Memorial day and the kitchen staff was slammed. We waited an hour for 1 app & never got it. We had our drinks and left.
We did have some food a year ago and it was good so even though this visit wasn't the best, I would return.

“Tasty appetizers and soups”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2014

My husband and I started with the crab bisque and New England Clam chowder both of which were delicious! Next our tasty shrimp appetizer was a good size small plate for both of us and true to the Caribbean cuisine. Our lunch specials also were very good but there was not much fish in the fish taco. Dinner menu does not start till 5 p.m. so if you're looking for that be aware!
