“Great Drinks, Great Music, Good Staff, and Great food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2009

After reading these posts below me I'd like to remind people they posted these in 05-07. The Blackraspberry has some new things done inside with a brand new side bar over looking the projector screen tv, there is a dj booth set up for friday & wednesday nights which brings in a great crowd and he plays high energy music and caters to the crowd. The menu also has changed displaying a great array of apps, salads, burgers, sandwiches, and the BEST pizza in plymouth by far. I noticed a few weeks ago that they also do half price apps and 25cent wings at the bar only through out the week which is SWEET! Saturday nights they have different bands that play great rock&roll music. Also seeing as somebody wrote about the patio i'd like to inform you that the outside area has been redone and is now a great place to sit out side by the koi fish pond and enjoy a drink, its beautiful out there with the big tree thats leafs are turning colors. great for the fall! At the bar theres a great selection of TAP beers and have a great selection of well alcohol for cheap$. For a place that is not downtown its a great hidden gem. I have been going for about 4 years now and i love it. the owners are great and are very personable. i HIGHLY reccomend the raz. you will definitely enjoy it.

“Nice owners/inconsistent menu”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2009

We have tried the place three times. The first time for supperat , the food was OK. The waitress was a co-owner and she and her husband were super nice. Unfortunately the place attracts some sketchy customers who feel it's OK to use vulgarities and make rude, loud comments. The owners came over to apologize but I wouldn't go there at nightagain.
Then we tried it for lunch at noon, and they had no fish & chips on a Friday although it was a regular item. We're stubborn and tried it for lunch a few weeks later and they didn't have two of the items that they advertised as specials that day...hence inconsistnt menu.

“good music”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2008

this is a nice pub to have a few drinks and listen to a good band.the food is pretty good, not 5 star but definitely adequate.I have been there at least 5-6 weekend evenings. They have the best music in Plymouth. The dance floor is not very big and can get filled up at times, esp. when they have the Irish rock band. This is there best band, although the top 40 group can be awesome at times.I found the staff to be friendly.they can be a tad slow when the good bands are playjng. This is a good place.Go and have some fun

“pub? not a pub !”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2007

More of a bar than a pub. Too many loud, drunk kids. Quite a few people at the bar, none were eating. ( should have been a clue when locals aren't eating)Went with 4 friends. We had sandwiches, salads, and steak tips. Food was basic, could have gone to a "subshop" and had comparable food and saved money. Service was a mess. The patio is nothing more than dirt/weeds/grass overlooking a parking lot. NOT a family place. I found it more of a 20 something local hangout than a nice family pub. Don' t waste your time or money.

“I love the BlackRaspberry!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2006

personally i beg to differ with the last writter. first of all the food is EXCELLENT! the service is FANTASTIC. and it has a GREAT bar with GREAT service! they just recently got voted best martinis south of boston and oh boy do i agree! Every Friday night & Saturday night they have entertainment its a great place to go out with friends and dance the night away instead of traveling all the way to boston! The bands they have play a wide variety of different music. All the people there are friendly and the staff is very friendly and always suit your needs. I LOVE THE BLACKRASPBERRY PUB! and I think that EVERYONE should try it!
