Description: We miss Brazil. We miss the smell of trees, and the sounds and sights of Carnaval. We miss being in a land where football is played with feet. It's difficult for us to go home though, so we did the next best thing. We brought our home to us and established Rio Steak House. Sit at one of our tables and for a few hours, let us make you forget that you didn't need wings to get here. At Rio Steak House we celebrate the best of Brazilian cuisine, specializing in Brazilian barbecue, Churrascaria. First, help yourself to a variety of offerings from our well-stocked salad bar - some say enough to be a meal of itself. As you're seated, experienced carvers will arrive with succulent skewers full of freshly roasted cuts of meats, precisely separating the best portions for your plate until you won't be able to fit another bite. Our goal was to import an authentic Brazilian experience. Come taste for yourself some of the best of what Brazil has to offer, this time you won't need a passport.

“Good value, great service, has potential”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2012

went here with friends last week. first time. I have been to brazil so know authentic and the food here was definitely authentic and good quality. For the price $20/person, you really cant beat it. the picanha was my favorite cut of meat. They should improve the filet in bacon option as both times the inside was well done. The chorizo was excellent and they had feijoada (beans and pork) which was awesome. The rest of salad bar was so-so, nothing special. Would be better with higher end deli meats like prosciutto or salami. The service was also excellent - all the girls here are brazilian and beautiful so again, authentic. The main improvement this place needs is the interior. It has a ton of potential and could charge more if the inside were classier. As of now the tables looks like picnic tables and the decor is so-so. IF someone dumped 20k into the interior (replace tables and chairs and bar) it could be a real nice place (like a Fogo de Chao). then they could charge 30-40 a head and get it. My other main complaint was the caipirinha. they put sweet and sour mix in the caipirinhas. This bothered me as it should only be cachaca, sugar, lime and ice - no mixer. I'd probably go back since it is a great deal for all you can eat quality meat but would hope they look to improve interior to make classier and nicer. Definitely a good deal though if you have a family and want to take them out but not a place I would bring a first date!

“Very good for a great price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2012

We have been to several of the large Brazilian style steakhouses and we enjoy them. Rio's is a small place but the food is not small on taste. Everything we tried was very good and there was more of everything if you wanted it. Service was very good. This is the place to go if you want to try Brazilian style without breaking the bank. We will be going here again.

“Amazing Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2012

We happened upon this by accident with a coupon. What a unique dining experience. Kids lobed it as much as we did. Fresh grilled Keats of all varietys hot sliced at the table. Amazing Brazilian sides of all types at the fresh buffet. We ate until we couldn't even think about food. No need to salt or.pepper.... its all perfectly seasoned! Family fans for life! Best of all...amazing staff. Great customer service with a smile!

“Hidden Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2012

I've driven by i a hundred times but last night we tried it with our friends. So glad we did!
It's so much bigger than it looks from the outside and has a nice atmosphere
I can't believe ANYone could go away from here hungry. The salad bar is so nicely done and they have so many good choices, even chicken salad. It was all fresh and there was plenty.
The side bar also had food such as rice, beans, vegetables etc. I didn't really see everything.but you could make a meal in itself from the salad bars and not be hungry.
The meat kept on coming and it was good. We wanted to try them all but got too full (and I'm a big eater). but I did try most. For $19.99 you are not going to get more for your money. Dessert was reasonable priced at $3.95.and they had 5 or 6 choices.

To top it all off staff were so friendly and eager to please. This is definetly a place I will return to often.

“Good food and really nice staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2012

Have been coming to Plymouth for years and are always looking for a place to eat on the nights when we've had enough seafood. Rio's fits the bill! We read about it online and were not diasppointed. Pleasant atmosphere, very friendly staff. The buffet items were diverse and good - but as another reviewer cautioned, leave room for the specialty - the great variety of meats! Snow peas and asparagus were fresh and not overcooked - nice and crisp. Garlic bread was excellent - piping hot and good and garlicky - and the BBQ pineapple tasted like what we do at home. We were there on a week night and the meat choices were chicken wings, chicken breast wrapped in bacon, prime rib, top sirloin, pork loin, kolbasa sausage. All were good but two stood out. The chicken wings were outstanding, and also the top sirloin - our definite favorites. Sausage also good if you're a sausage fan. Waitress talked us into trying a dessert and she was right. We split a flan and it was a good way to finish off the meal - more than enough for us to split.
