“Fun, but kind of short.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2013

This boat is very fun to walk around and look at but it is kind of a short look-around and it got a bit boring after a while. If yo want to go see the Mayflower 2 than I recommend that you plan out other activities during the day like the Plimoth rock, Plimoth Plantation/Native American Indian Village, shopping, and dining.

“Wonderful Staff and Presentation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2013

Even though the Mayflower II was being repaired, we enjoyed the tour through the dock. A staff member came out and gave us a private walk-through of the information about Mayflower II. This was someone who actually sails on the Mayflower II. When we got to the other side of the dock, The other staff member, dressed in colonial sailor's garb, taught us about what the original Mayflower was like at the time of the Pilgrim's crossing in today's terms, so even our 11 year old daughter could understand. "It's hard to act in the 1620s when the ship isn't here" the staff member commented. If Plimouth Plantation was more like this all the time, we would have liked it better.

“Good place to visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2013

This one is located not too far from Boston. You will have a nice drive (given that you don't get stuck in Boston's traffic). People working there are very enthusiastic. They are most determined to load you with all the info they possess. They act as certain historic characters and wear costumes. It is a great experience for the kids and let's them learn a lot. One of the nicest educational experience.

“Worth Seeing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2013

We were quite happy with our visit to the Mayflower II. This reproduction gives visitors a look at the vessel used by the settlers. One could easily imagine the grueling journey they undertook. It is a fun visit because the actors are in character and try to convey a sense of what the journey was like. The information presented here represents a significant event in US history and it is worth taking the time to add this to any Boston area itinerary.

“Mayflower II”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2013

While currently in dry-dock repair until this coming May, in the past the Mayflower II, a reproduction from the 1950's, was a must-see attraction. It gives a real sense of historical scale, such as how the heck 108 people could possibly have survived for 6 weeks crammed below deck without having thrown each-other overboard just for amusement. Yet, somehow they survived, only to have half of them perish within the first winter. Welcome to America, guys!!
