“Not worth the time or energy”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2011

If you feel the need to look at rocks look at your feet. There is nothing fancy about it and there is nothing historic about it. Save yourself the time and money and go look at other things in other parts of the state...

“It's a big rock”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2011

If you're in the area, or passing by on your way to Cape Cod for example, it is worth stopping in Plymouth. Still, not much to see here. Replica of the Mayflower which I did not tour, the rock itself, which is of dubious origin, a few monuments...eh.

“Plymouth Pebble Sums it Up”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2011

I think it's somewhat embarassing that Plymouth Rock is so small...I mean, couldn't they find a boulder at least?

Parking is a pain; but at least it's free and we can say we saw it.

“It's a rock - a very small rock”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2010

This must be one of the most overrated attractions ever - a rock (part of a rock, actually; and surprisingly small) with a crack in it that has been repaired with cement. It was apparently transported around town several times, and has suffered in the process. Imagine the pilgrims landing on a beach, and there must have been several boulders lying around. Somehow this one made it into an attraction. "The rock our nation was built on" - how embarrassing.

“It's a rock”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2010

Parking was hard to find. We were about to just leave, but we ended up getting a space and walking over to see it. It will be good for our child to have a picture there, for when she studies the subject. But it is just a rock under a little roof. And people have rudely thown coins and some rubbish there. Historically worth seeing, if you are in the area, but I wouldn't make a special trip.
