“So fresh and delicious!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2014

We first tasted the chef's cuisine at the Tanglewood Wine and Food festival - and it was so good we returned that evening to the restaurant for dinner. Main dishes were slow to arrive (there are signs warning you that the kitchen is small so to be patient) so recommend ordering some starters to get you going - but service so attentive and lovely that it didn't detract from the meal. Sometimes following an Asian meal I do not feel well from too much salt and other additives - but this food was so fresh and the flavors so intense that I don't think any of that is used by this chef. It was way above the typical standard fare. Have the Malaysian spicy dishes.

“Why is Malaysian food tops in Pittsfield?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2014

I looked at the menu and was afraid to try the mango salad. But it was delicious, with all of the vegetable, fruit and spices harmonizing. The chicken rendang was tasty and spiced just as we asked. The owner took our order and served us, food made to order, fresh, he took pride in the cooking, by his wife, as malaysian food should be prepared. When you are in Pittsfield, Flavors Restaurant is a must.

“Great Gluten-Free Restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2014

How wonderful to have the whole menu to choose from - the waitstaff asks what your allergies are, and they make the food for you!! AND it was fantastic. We went for lunch and loved it so much we went back the next night for dinner. We were off-rush both times, so waiting wasn't an issue.

We had the steamed clams and steamed Trout, which were well made and fresh tasting with light sauces Together with salads and wine, made a very good dinner after the Matinee production of the Barrington Theatre's excellent Turning Play.

“Delicious Difference”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2014

Try this terrific restaurant for delicious East Asian food with a difference. Although there are some similarities to Thai and Vietnamese food, the style and seasonings here have their own unique textures and tastes. Order an appetizer: Sabrina's Homemade Dumplings steamed are excellent, flavorful with just-right wrappers, and the Steamed Roast Pork Buns are terrific as well. We did not experience any extended wait for our main dishes, and you can't go wrong with any selection. I especially enjoyed the Malaysian Mamak Mee Goreng, a noodle dish with meat and vegetables. Whatever you order, be sure to specify the degree of hot-and-spicy you prefer - I can't eat spicy food, and my not-hot request was honored without any loss in flavor.

Whatever brought this great couple from the NYC area to Pittsfield, we were glad we found their wonderful restaurant.
