“Skip Dunkin Donuts”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2013

And head to the Cottage St. Bakery- On a side street behind the Ice Cream Cafe and worth the effort. Maple Walnut Danish, dirt bombs and other baked goods are outstanding. Breakfast sandwiches are just so-so. Several types of coffee and quick service.

“Must do on the Cape”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2012

By far a wonderful way to start the day in Orleans. My family looks forward to the cranberry almond poppyseed muffins and the dirt bombs every summer. A hidden gem of a bakery on the Cape. Everything is delicious and prepared with care which comes through in the taste. A special treat.

“Pie and cake for the holidays”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 26, 2012 via mobile

We picked up a lemon meringue pie and Bouche Noel for Christmas desert which we brought to our traditional family gathering in New Jersey. Both of these elegant creations were spectacular! Everyone agreed that the lemon meringue pie was hands-down the absolute best they had ever tasted. The pie won the second-helping award and the Bouche Noel was a close second with it's intense, fudgey, chocolate taste complimented by a delicious white cake.

Living on the Cape and in the area we get to the bakery periodically and agree totally with other reviewers. The pies, cakes, danish pastry, muffins, cinnamon buns, squares, etc., are made with the best ingredients and are consistently delicious.

Highly, highly recommended.....and if you need pie and/or cake for a special celebration, based on our experience, it's very likely you will be pleased.

“Dirt Bombs are the best”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2012

More than a little pricey but worth it for a splurge. Try the dirt bombs and the fruit tarts are very good when fresh.

“Great way to start the day”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2012

We always start our day at the Cottage Street Bakery when we are down there on Vacation. It's a nice little place to sit and have a coffee and one of the many goodies you have to choose from. I love the Raspberry Blueberry muffins the best!! Have never been able to get that combination anywhere up here in Canada.
You see the same regulars coming in every morning. We always look forward to our first morning of vacation , knowing we'll be going to the Cottage Street Bakery. It's making my mouth water thinking of it. It is one of the Hidden Gems on the Cape.
