If this place were somehow (!) less popular, we'd like it even more than we do; as it is, we've still enjoyed several good meals here, despite the loud noise level and general hubbub.
We've had very good wood-fired pizza and salads here on several occasions (note: while two adults might split a pizza and a salad here, that might not leave much room for dessert). The thin crusts on the pizzas have come out perfectly each time -- crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. We've especially liked the Wild Mushroom, Mediterranean, and Margherita pizzas -- all have been very tasty. Our favorite salads have been the Tuscan Kale and Artisan Greens salads.
In comparison, the entrees we've had here have been so-so -- nothing bad, but not the most exciting meals, either. Maybe the best one we've had has been the fish and chips -- an ENORMOUS portion of fresh fish in a slightly greasy but still tasty beer batter. Artisan Greens with Scallops has been another good (not great) choice.
For those who like to drink, the wine list here offers lots of good and unusual choices (e.g., Tohu Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand), some at very reasonable prices.
Much as we've enjoyed the food and wine here, it's hard to ignore the crowding and noise levels. Whether early or late on summer evenings (weekends or weeknights -- it doesn't seem to matter), we've had to wait up to 45 minutes for a table here. While the friendly staff always suggest putting our names in at the bar as well as at the front desk, the seating "system" at the bar isn't always as clearcut as the "regular" waiting list up front -- even when the bartenders post names of the waiting parties on a name board, some folks who are aggressive grab seats anyway as soon as they open up, making for an awkward situation. Also, the noise level tends to be loud throughout the restaurant (though we once had a quieter table by one of the windows away from the front desk and overlooking the front parking lot). So, it's usually not the easiest place to have a relaxed conversation.
All of that said, we'd still come back here again if we were in the neighborhood -- the pizzas and salads are consistently better-than-average, and the staff are always very friendly and solicitous, despite the typically busy atmosphere.
