“Disappointed - too pricey for what was served”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2013

My family and I went here after reading how the Lobster Claw was a highly rated restaurant for families. It was very clean, featured a nice nautical decor and interesting white bench seating. It made an excellent first impression when we walked in.

But....

My meal (fried clams) was good but overpriced considering the small portions. My wife's meal (Stuffed Filet of Soul) was bland and overpriced. The kids meals were decent but all overpriced (close to $9 each for standard hamburger, frozen french fries you can get at 1,000 places on the Cape). The waitress was not friendly and they have a very inflexible substitution policy. For example, they wouldn't swap broccoli for french fries.

We'll always pay extra for awesome food and a good setting. We didn't get the former here. Not going back.

“Cant taste the lobster”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2013 via mobile

Had a lobster roll . Couldn't taste the lobster at all. It was as if i was eating a roll just plain. But thats what happens when a place like this gets imitation lobster meat from a can.

“Just what the doctor ordered”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2013

Arrived Orleans after a 5 hour drive from NYC. We needed casual, comfortable, cool, Cape Cod regional food. Lobster Claw fit the bill perfectly. Ordered the Lobster salad plate, which in addition to the generous portion of Lobster salad included, cole slaw, potato salad, cottage cheese, egg wedges, and tomatoes served on a bed of greens; perfect in every way possible. $20.95 for the Lobster salad plate.

Cool sea green lacquered tables in the booths, we couldn't have been more comfortable.

Great Food and plenty to eat. We could walk from our hotel to the restaurant. We had 9 people in our party and were provided a great place to sit and great service.
