“Disappointing”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2008

For all the great reviews this is not recommended. Ordered the fish sandwich and chowder. This was recommended in the reviews. The other meal was fried clams, french fries and coleslaw. The portions were small. The clams were not robust big things but small and looked like end-lots. The chowder was ok but not exceptional and the fish sandwich came on a white hamburger bun. When we requested drinks with our meals they directed us to ice water on the counter or a coin operated soda machine that you had to put money into. There was no air conditioning on a 80 degree plus day which made eating inside ridiculous. On Cape Cod there is much better to be had at restaurants that try to please. I have been to this place other years and liked it enough to come back but will probably let it go for now.

“Off Season Find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2008

Had heard many wonderful things about Sir Crickets. Never had the chance to make it there. Glad I made the trip in today. Non descript store front location in Orleans. Fabulous food. The best fish sandwich I have ever had. The fish was fried perfectly. Just the right amount of batter. The tarter sauce was wonderful with a bit of a zip. The fries were yummy too. Looking forward to going back & trying some of their other menu items. For mid- day on January 2,2008 the place was rather busy...had to wait in a short line to order! Many were getting their orders to go but there is some seating inside the restaurant. If you are in the area Sir Crickets is a must try. Fantastic fish sandwich!

“Best on the Cape!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2007

I am a fried seafood fanatic, aficianado, call it what you will. I've had it all, from Georgia to Maine, Ketchikan to Singapore, and I can say beyond the shadow of a doubt that Sir Cricket's is the best. Tender, wonderfully flavored clams... and te clam chowder is absolutely superb, with a faintly sweet taste that lifts this sturdy American favorite to whole new levels of sublime goodness. Sir Cricket's is in a tiny, but spotlessly clean storefront just off the Orleans roundabout. On a recent visit to the Cape I ate there twice in two days, and would have done so every day had I been there longer. The sort of small, family-owned business, run by people who love what they do and are proud of it, that makes America great. Hail Sir Cricket, best seafood on the Cape!

“Tiny but Terrific”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2005

A local seafood take-out on the main road. Sir Cricket's serves up some of the best fried seafood on Cape Cod at very affordable prices. Get your food to go and drive to nearby Rock Harbor for a picturesque dinner al fresco. Bon Apetit!
