“Overpriced - Dated - Needs a lot of TLC”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2013

We booked two rooms for the day before we moved into our cottage. If we were staying for more than one night we would have left.

The room itself was so dated. The bathroom door wouldn't close and it took great effort to
close the front door. Toiletries were minimal with only one Kleenex left in the box. No
replacement of course. Feeling this review might be critical I introduced myself to other
guests to see if I was being fair. I received total agreement.

Our family staying in the other room, like ourselves, wouldn't step into the shower because
the grout was so grungy. Couldn't wait to check out.

The motel itself on the outside needs a paint job in many areas. The pool seemed clean but the furniture was old fashioned, tables were rusting and the chairs were ugly.

As a diabetic, for breakfast, there was not one thing I could eat. The two choices of cereal were pre-sweetened and the rest of the food offered were total carbs.

Dear Guest,
We are disappointed to learn that you were unsatisfied with your stay. As we have serviced to thousands of customers over the years, and each individual being different, we have come to learn that we cannot meet the needs of every guest. We appreciate your feedback, because it helps us focus on areas to improve - as we work daily to improve the property, but there are still some aspects that cannot satisfy everyone, no matter how many improvements are made. While our complimentary breakfast was not enjoyed by you, it is important to remember that it was free and continental, and most of our guests do enjoy the choices we have to offer. We are sorry that it couldn't meet your needs and we have taken your issue into consideration for future improvements. There will always be room for improvement, which is why we have invested so much time, money and effort into the property - and although you may not notice that, many of our returning customers have. Although your particular stay was not satisfying to you, and it was disappointing to hear, we look forward to satisfying most of our guests with an enjoyable stay.

We stayed for one night in a 2 bedroomed unit (would have booked for longer if we had known how nice it was). The unit was very large and clean and tidy. The beds were lovely, clean and comfy and carpets looked new and bathroom was immaculate. This was amazing value in one of the nicest towns on the Cape. Breakfast was good, didn't have time to use the pool. Far exceeded my expectations of a 'motel'..

A group of us (five families) were traveling with our 10 kids (ages 1 year old to 13). We were looking for something cheap and clean. We got so much more. The staff accommodated us for 4 nights. They put us together in a row. They were kind, helpful and willing to do whatever we needed. THis was truly a gem. The pool was clean and fantastic. Although it is on busy Route 6, it is close to restaurants, the supermarket and only 27 miles from Provincetown! FABULOUS! Can't wait to go back next summer!

We stayed here one night. Its Ok. the rooms were clean and the soap bars were small :). Nice pool. Morning breakfast was nothing special. I drove to Dunkin Donuts down the street for coffee and donuts. Room rate was very good.

We decided to stay at the Roadway Inn, because we were going to a wedding at the Cape. We had a room with two double beds. The wedding was Friday night, so we stayed Thursday through Sunday, visiting with friends and relatives. They have a great continental breakfast from 7 am to 10 am. and the outdoor pool was nicely located in both the sun and the shade. The rooms were cleaned daily with outside chairs to relax after a long day at the pool. With ironing board, iron, mini frig, mini mirowave & coffee maker, hair dryer in the bathroom made for less packing of some of these items. Walking distance to Catholic Church, restaurants and ice cream palor. I would highly recommend the Roadway Inn to anyone visiting Cape Cod.

Room Tip: We were located on the bottom floor, easier to unload car and very quite.

My mom and I stayed here with my two kids. While the rooms could use some TLC, the staff was absolutely fantastic. They were very friendly and offered a lot of advice and tips of things to see and do, although I have lived in Cape Cod before. It was still nice to speak to them and they were more than happy to help if I needed anything at all. The location is pretty good if you want to be in the heart of Orleans. Orleans has an awesome baseball team, a huge library and many places to shop. (Check out Cuffys and the bird store!) They also have a nice food market if you want to food shop that you won't find anywhere north of there. Decent amount of restaurants nearby too.

A pleasant one night stay. The girl at the front desk was very friendly and welcoming. The room with 2 double beds was a good size with a fridge. The breakfast had one cereal, eggo waffles, and bagels.
