“Beautiful Bay Beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2013

Nice quiet beach. Great sunset. Free parking after 4:30. Water is shallow for a great distance from the shore.

“Magnificent sunsets”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

Skaket Beach is a family-friendly bay beach with little undertow, making it an ideal place for small children. Skaket is also a prime spot for viewing the sunset. A parking sticker is required between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

“Perfect Beach for Kids”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

Skaket Beach is a wonderful beach for small kids, particularly at low tide. Walking in the shallows reveals hermit crabs, razor clams, mussels, minnows, fiddler crabs, and a few larger crabs. Give a kid a net and let them explore.

It is also a wonderful place to watch sunsets. We ran down there all year around.

“A Cape Cod treasure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

Visiting Skaket beach, especially at low tide with small children is truly a must! You can walk on the sand bars for about a mile, searching for shells, tiny crabs, a fish in the water pools. The tide comes back in slowly, so no need to worry about the water getting too deep too fast. There is a nice sandy beach and from mid to high tide it is great for swimming.

“Perfect beach for small children...and sunsets”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

This is a PERFECT beach for young children. Very wide and safe. Gentle surf. Bathroom facilities. And should you be around in the evening, the sunsets are GORGEOUS. Not really for adult swimming because of the shallowness of the water, and teens might get bored. But your toddler will be ecstatic. Only two negatives I can think of: The parking lot gets crowded quickly in summer, and the evenings can get buggy, especially in July when the greenheads are out.
