“Summer in Oak Bluffs”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013

Can't say enough about this fabulous boutique hotel and its' wonderful staff. Situated in the heart of Oak Bluffs it is walking distance to anything you want to do. Eat, drink, shop, or soak up the sun on the picturesque beaches. The complementary snack cafe and beach equipment really came in handy.

This place is amazing! Active ownership, which is great to see. Complimentary snacks, coffee, coolers, towels, beach chairs an so much more! Friendly staff and in such a great location. A block or so from the ferry and in the center of it all! If you are going to Martha's Vineyard, I highly recommend staying at the Dockside Inn.

We recently stated at The Dockside and loved it! Check in was a breeze (our room was even ready 2 hours early!) the rooms were updated and clean. The complimentary snack bar was great, stocked with bottled waters, fruit, oatmeal, chips, and ice cream. Also they had a Keurig which we were able to enjoy our coffee on the deck every morning. We did use the hot tub once too which we enjoyed. The hotel also provides towels, beach chairs , coolers, and boards. The homemade cookies were a nice touch too. The location of this hotel is great, walking distance to everything. I traveled with my husband and another couple and we can't wait to come back next year.

We have stayed in two other establishments prior to this and we will only stay at The Dockside Inn in the future. The rooms were very well kept and updated. One of the afternoons it was very rainy and we found the staff had freshly baked cookies at the lobby counter. The beach amenities were great and in excellent condition. Everything from the location, the snack room and staff were exceptional. They even have a secluded deck in the back to do some sunbathing if you don't want to head to the beach. Overall, a completely satisfying experience!

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the back but with a view. I think Room 29 is the best.

From initially making reservation on up through check out, service was excellent. The staff is very knowledgeable and hospitable. In the past, I had only stayed in a suite. But, a regular room was more spacious than I expected. The location is what made me first choose The Dockside Inn years ago. And, now I'm back. It is conveniently located so that one can walk to the beach, various restaurants, fitness center and Circuit Ave. As for amenities, it seem as though they have everything that one would need. If you happen to not see it, just ask because it's probably there. In general, I like all of the recent renovations made to the property. I like the fact that they have a jacuzzi. I have already begun to plan my next stay.

A group of us 30-50 year old women stayed in three separate suites on the top/third floor of the Inn. We were completely satisfied with everything the Inn offered. The beach amenities were incredible however we expected old equipment so brought our own towels, coolers, chairs - big mistake... Everything in their stockroom was fantastic and it would've been so effortless to use their equip. The snack room was also amazing-hot keurig coffee, oatmeal, fresh bakery goods, snacks, ice cream, gumball and maltball machines, etc. The parking was effortless but you do not need a car - they're next to beach, restaurants, shopping, boat/scooter rentals, and bars/nightclubs. Most importantly we were there during the heatwave and the place was so cool. Also being part of the 50ish group, the mattresses were phenomenal - slept in a double bed and pull out couch and not one ache the whole weekend. We never asked to take the Silver Cloud for a ride (didn't need it) but did get plenty of photos around the Rolls Royce - quite classy !

Room Tip: One of our end rooms had a harborview which was beautiful. We were in the middle so we enjoyed the...
