“excellent well-priced hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2014

We usually stay closer to Boston but with the Boston Marathon happening the next day, we had to stay further out of the city. The Norwood Hampton Inn was much better than the other value-priced hotels we have stayed in....good room size, great bathroom and the best "free" breakfast we've ever experienced.

An A+ hotel! The place is centrally located, the beds are comfortable, the place is clean, the staff is friendly, the view is fun and the breadfast was great. We visit the Boston area often and we always stay there!

Its the 3rd time I have stayed now at this hotel. Teh staff at the reception if friendly, helpful and very welcoming. The rooms are well maintain / renovated.
The sports bar in the same building is a good place to hang out in the evening offering also healthy food at fair prices.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the golf course in the back. then you are away from the state highway.

Not really a good place to stay for long trips. The pictured room I had when I booked the reservation showed a microwave/refrigerator, but we did not have those. We had an ice machine that was noisy & didn't work. There was construction going on, so super noisy. And the pool was hardly ever open, so we didn't get to use it more than once. If you are there for a day or two it is nice, but I wouldn't stay there long term again unless we had a suite, but I am sure those are super expensive. For $159 to $179 a night, you can find nicer in the same area.

We stayed for 2 nights this past weekend. The hotel was quiet and comfortable. Our king room had a nice kitchnette that was very helpful. The staff was warm and welcoming. Breakfast was ok - just the usual standard Hampton Inn fare. We brought our small dog along and it was very comfortable for her. My only complaint was the air conditioning. The room was very stuffy when we walked in so I turned it down (or tried to). I couldn't get it to cool off until I put the fan on continously and then it got alittle too cool. The fitness room and pool are small but the equipment is fine. I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: It is a big hotel so if you don't want a long walk, ask for a room by the elevators.

Green Features: They had the trash cans that are divided with one side for recycling and the other trash. I hate this design - the sides end up so small that nothing really fits in either.

We returned for 4 more nights' stay and were not disappointed. Comfortable, well serviced, clean and close to many good restaurants. My only disappointment is the fact the swimming pool has such limited hours due to the need for a life-guard on duty (unusual for a hotel pool). Our dinner (fish and chips, ravioli and burger) were so tasty from the attached Kennedy's Public House.

Room Tip: Sixth floor; great views

We stayed at the Norwood Hampton Inn while in town for a birthday party. Our stay was excellent. The hotel staff was exceptional. Cookies as we arrived, a clean and well maintained pool area for our grandkids to swim, a food buffet to celebrate saving energy, and a great dining experience at the hotel's restaurant all added up to a very fine stay. I read reviews on Trip Advisor when making my decision of where to stay and was not disappointed. If in town again, I will go back there.
