We were in town to visit relatives who were unable to put us up, and this was about the cheapest place I could find. The motel is an older place, but it's hard to tell how old, since it's been remodeled extensively. First impression was that maybe people lived there, although it looked pretty clean, and there were no cars at 6:30. The lady in the office was friendly, and happy to show me a room. She said they only had two available, but like I said, there were no cars. The room looked okay, and the rate was $63, which was really pretty cheap for this area. My wife was not thrilled when two apparent residents of one section watched from the sidewalk, beers in hand, as we unloaded the car. There was a pool, but it was not in use.
The room was perfectly decent. It was medium sized, clean and decently furnished. The rug could have used a more thorough touch, but everything else was fine. For the rate, the amenities were good: fridge, microwave, clock, decent sized (but old) TV, and wi-fi with a good signal. The vanity outside the bathroom even had a hair dryer, which is unusual at cheap places.
The bathroom had only a shower (the other room apparently had a tub), but it was probably 6'x4' Hot water was very good. The toilet was a replacement that had been sloppily mounted a few inches from the wall. As a result, my knees almost hit the shower door when I sat down. My one other complaint was that the a/c was mounted so high you had to stand on a chair to adjust it.
The night passed quietly, and the next morning, the lot was full of vehicles. Our fellow guests looked to be contractors, since they all left at the same time in several trucks. After the first impression, we were fairly pleased with our stay, but will probably try somewhere else next time.
