“AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2014

Oh my god! This place so recommended that word's can not express! Let me start with the place and the view is spectacular and the accommodations they have to offer really doesn't get better than the Sandbars! The manager was Sweetest and so kind to us! The staff was right up there top of line of kindness and they take care of it like it was there own home. The fact that I could have Copper with me and being pet friendly was a bonus. The guest that we met were so friendly and the fact the most of them have been going there for years, made me realize on why they do going there for the first time. I will going back real soon and for many, many, years to come and be part of the family. Thank you so much for your kindness Patty and we will see you soon at the Sandbars on Cape Cod Bay

The location of the room that we had was on the first floor looking out across a small sandy lounge area with the beach directly behind it. 30 seconds to the water! The room itself was very nice as was the shower (good pressure and high nozzle) I'm 6'4" so that last part is important since some places are very low. The owners are very nice and always available if needed. You can tell they truly care about your needs. It has become an annual destination for us now since we found this place.

We were visiting family on Cape Cod but had a day where we could explore. We had never traveled to Provincetown so I looked on Trip Advisor for some beach from properties and found this one.

I found owner to be sooo friendly and helpful! She gave us recommendations for lunch and Dinner - The Lobster Pot and Spiritus Pizza which are both located on Commercial St. I will provide separate reviews for those restaurants.

The beds were comfy and the kitchenette was nice with a small oven, microwave, sink, large fridge and dishes. There was a built in bar height table that seated 4.

It was great but I would recommend waiting until July as the weather was cold and rainy in mid June. Not a fault of the excellent place but it is a bit uncertain weather wise until a bit later in the season.

Room Tip: Stay on the first floor so you can walk out the back directly to the beach!

We recently stayed at the Sandbars Inn for five days, in celebration of our anniversary. The room was very clean, the bed amazingly comfortable and the room opened up onto the beach, so we could hear the surf at night. Pattee and Brian were both so friendly, warm and genuinely helpful. The kitchen was fully-stocked and practical. The only other thing to keep in mind (we were ignorant in this regard, as this was our first trip to the Cape) was that the weather in May can be quite cold and wet. For two days of our trip, we had to plan indoor activities as a result of the poor weather, which was disappointing.

Room Tip: First floor rooms allow direct beach access.

Thank you for writing such nice things about the property and your visit! I have to say you were real troopers as it was unseasonably cold even in light of how erratic weather can be on the Cape. It is quite possible your next anniversary here could be completely different. In any case we really enjoyed meeting and wish you many more happy years together.

I recently planned a weekend for 14 ladies in Ptown/Truro and we could not have been happier with Sandbars Inn. Pattee is such a sweet, accommodating host. Her property is clean, beautifully decorated, and in a superb location (not to mention the beds are ssooo comfy!). We loved being able to relax on the beach by the fire pit and watch the peaceful sunset, but at the same time being just a 10 minute ride from all of the restaurants and excitement in Ptown! I truly hope we can visit again next year - we would choose Sandbars Inn again without a doubt!

We recently stayed at Sandbars for two nights to celebrate my husband's birthday. The rooms are wonderful. They are tastefully decorated and have a full kitchen including a large fridge and small stove. Pattee was welcoming and was sure we had directions to the grocery store, whale watch and close shops and restaurants. There is free wifi, a DVD player and very nice television. The rooms open right out onto a nice beach on the bay. The Sandbars is a must stay!

We recently stayed 3 nights at Sandbars on Cape Cod Bay. The Cape is wonderful in the off season. From my first encounter via email and then phone, I knew there was something special about this place. Pattee, the general manager is awesome to work with and meeting her in person was great. She treated us like family .

We had a wonderful waterfront room with amazing views. There were 2 queen/double beds, a well stocked kitchenette and this room was spotless. The beds were very comfortable. All the details were covered. The only thing I might add to that particular room was a slightly larger fry pan. The room has Wi-Fi and a DVD player. Our slider led to a small deck with chairs. The beach has several seating options and very comfortable cushions on the wooden beach chairs. There is even a fire pit.

Pattee gave us restaurant and grocery store recommendations as well as local hiking trails in the National Seashore. We spent hours one day whale watching from Herring Cove Beach..saw at least 8 whales from the beach, including humpback, fin and right whales...we did need binoculars for this activity most of the time but did see a few closer to shore. Also walked Race Point beach. The beach right outside the slider from our room is quite long and one morning I walked to Provincetown!

We were in the area primarily for bird watching and Sandbars is about half way between the Welfleet Audubon Sanctuary and Race Point. Perfect location. Beech Forest Trail is great for birdwatching..and met up with a fox on this trail as well. We hiked the Cedar Swamp Trail at the Marconi Site and the Nauset Hiking trail at Salt Pond Visitors center.

We made our breakfast every day and packed a picnic lunch. We had Pizza at Savory's Grill which was wonderful and one night we ate at Montano's Italian Restaurant which was very good.

We will absolutely be back to Sandbars!
