“Very pleasant surprise!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2011

Touring Cape Cod with my wife, we stopped here for one night but ended up staying 3 nights... so much to do in the area. They only had two bedroom units left so we had lots of room to spread out. Fully equipped kitchen and two bathrooms too. So nice to look out over the water in the morning or at sunset - great views right from the living room. Very handy to Provincetown and beaches. Highlight of our trip was taking the whale cruise!

We have stayed at Crow’s Nest Resort many times and would recommend it to others. We love the staff and the long list of amenities it has to offer. Michelle, the Manager, is truly a sweetheart and offers the resort a real touch of class. We have witnessed her loaning out forgotten beach items to guests, suggesting good book reads and being a Hero to a wedding party with a flat tire. The property layout is well thought out and we enjoy how close the beach, room and parking lot is to each other. Once you walk through one of the building passageways you are instantly transported into a fun and relaxation mode. Two things for the property owner to consider would be adding mattress toppers to the very firm beds and changing out the second level outdoor seating to something comfortable and inviting.

I stayed at the Crows Nest to visit friends that lived nearby. The stay was wonderful. Nice room , clean, plenty of hot water and good shower pressure. Office staff was very helpful and there was plenty of parking with room to open my car door. Views were awesome both in the front and in the rear. My guests that visited me also thought the place was great. I hope to be back soon.

This was my second visit to The Crow's Nest and I'm hoping there will be a third in the near future. The resort is on a beautiful piece of property. The tide was high and I could literally walk down the stairs and into the ocean. The private beach was perfect -- private and clean. The room was amazing -- airy, spacious, with all the amenities we were looking for. The fireplace and jacuzzi tub were definitely a plus and will keep me coming back. The location was perfect -- in Truro, but close enough to P-Town.

I think the best part of the place was Michelle, the manager. She was so accommodating, knowledgeable, and helpful in getting us a reservation at last minute. I know "no vacancy" means "no vacancy" but she was great about calling us with a last minute cancellation and then even letting us upgrade! I'm not very familiar with the town, but Michelle made excellent recommendations on what to see and do while we were vacationing, even writing out directions for us. We had more fun on this trip to The Cape because of Michelle than I've had any other vacation.

We will definitely be back to The Crow's Nest soon. I'm hoping to see the place in the fall and take advantage of the fireplace!

Wonderful location & view. We have stayed here since it was a CHEAP efficiency motel charging $50 per night. A few years ago it was sold & the new owner turned it into a beautiful property. Read the other reviews for details. HOWEVER in the past few years, we have seen a decline in housekeeping. What RESORT required visitors to SWEEP their own rooms? SECURITY CAMERAS everywhere. NOT just to protect the patrons, but to SPY on everyone outside & staff, including the managers in the office. He has actually seen things that he didn't care for on his TV at his office on the "mainland" & called the manager to have her deal with it. He has gone thru 3 managers in the past 4 years. Two were fired & who knows how long the current one will last? Having known 2 of them very well, We believe that the owner is NOT a people person. Actually having met him a few times, he isn't! The rules & regulations are far more strict than ANY other place we have ever stayed at. we have visited over 20 states.Guests of the visitors are NOT allowed to visit us. Can you believe THAT?? Many of us have entertained guests for dinners or just to watch the beautiful sunsets over a drink. THATS a NO NO!! We still love this area the best! The room we wanted to book this year went up $40 a night/$280 a week. If we had waited until off season it STILL went up $20 & $140. That's just NUTS! No reason for an increase that size! We will NOT return there for that reason , all the craxy RULES AND the fact that every movement outside is being watched & if you are in the office you ARE STILL ON CAMERA. We KNOW for a fact that many long time visitors to the Crow's Nest have decided NOT to return over the past 3 years. That's SAD!!~~~SHAME on you Jim!!

Room Tip: All rooms have a view of Cape Cod Bay

We have very few “rules” and those we do have pertain simply to the quiet enjoyment of our guests. We have always permitted our guests to have friends or local relatives over for a drink or a visit simply by speaking to the manager. Upon checkout in 2010 this guest was not invited back to our property due to multiple complaints from several of our regular guests who have been staying with us for 8 years in a row. It is unfortunate to see that this guest still wanted to return this year despite all they wrote in this “review”.

I was looking for a place on the beach with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and air conditioning. The Captains Quarters at the CN was pricey, but seemed perfect for our needs. While the place is nice and the view is amazing, I was disappointed in a few things. The "private beach:" when the tide is in, there is very little beach to sit on -- very disappointing! Housekeeping: beds were made, garbage emptied and towels changed -- but I thought for the price the bathrooms would have been cleaned. Private balconies: nice, but would have been nicer if chairs were provided. Porch: the first floor rooms have adirondack chairs; the second floor rooms (where we were) had benches -- not very comfortable or conducive to relaxing. Also, porch lights do not automatically come on -- when returning to our rooms at night, it would be pitch black. After a few nights, we remembered to leave our porch light on when going out. In general, while the room was very spacious and airy, the couches could have been cleaner and the sofa bed was very uncomfortable. On the plus side, Michele in the office was a good resource and the place seemed well run. However, I will look for different accommodations next year.

I have reviewed this resort in the past and will continue to do so as at it continues to exceed my expectations. The East Cottage is an excellent value, clean, well maintained and perfectly situated to look out over Cape Cod Bay directly to Provincetown. Michele, the manager of the resort ,is friendly, helpful and informative. I also stayed at the main resort back in April and had a similar experience in one of the two bedroom condominiums.

Room Tip: Make sure you call well ahead of your intended stay. The resort sells out during most times of the...
