“Great location and nice hosts...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2006

Took the family for a three night four day stay on the Cape. We shopped around on line and found the Seagull. The folks who run the place are great. When you need them they're available, and out of sight otherwise. The room was very clean but out dated, although the carpet was new. The beach is a short walk away and very peaceful!! The shore was a bit rocky, so bring surf shoes (and buy them BEFORE you get there!) If you are looking for a Disney type place, this isn't it! If you are looking for peace and quiet at a motel 5 minutes outside P-town, you've found it. No frills, just relaxation. For the price, a great place to stay. Will return next summer!!

What first looks like your average roadside motel is actually a very pleasant place which opens up onto a secluded inner yard facing Cape Cod Bay, with a lovely boardwalk leading to the beach. Great location, close to Provincetown, yet in the quieter area of the beach. Wonderful for sunsets. Rooms are comfortable and spotless. And the hosts are the nicest, most accommodating people. North Truro is a nice place to relax in Cape Cod and The Seagull Motel an excellent choice, especially for the budget-conscious traveler who comes a long way to have sight of the sea and wants a friendly place to stay!
You'll see, it grows on you!
PS: Don't miss Race Point Beach by the spectacular dunes, just a few minutes drive away.

If price is the primary consideration, this is a good place to stay. It's quiet, right on the beach and convenient to Provincetown & the National Seashore. If you're looking for something with Cape Cod character and amenisites, there are other options in the area you might like better.

The motel is an old style strip motel, perhaps built in the 50s. My room was very clean, the carpet looked new, the decor was updated (but not that stylish.)

The age of the place showed in the bathroom, which had dated pink tile, pink fixtures and formica countertop. But it was squeaky clean. There was a tv and a small fridge in the spacious room.

There were two buildings in the back, closer to the beach and they looked newer, but we asked to be put up front so we could park our cars at the door. I was actually there on a work trip and had lots of equipment I couldn't leave in my car, so I didn't want to be making lots of trips to the car (you can't park by the door in the units closer to the beach.)

There is a whole lot of lodging in Truro. Not sure why so few places are listed on Tripadvisor. There are lots of cabin units.

We stayed at this hotel after reading a negative review and I'm glad we did! The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly and the ocean is just down a short wooden path. Ladies - don't forget your hairdryer since there are none in the motel rooms. The beach does have seaweed on it, but it's a beach! All in all, my husband and I were very happy with the accommodations and would stay there again.

This is a nice, clean basic motel with a great location and beach just on the edge of Provincetown. The beds are comfortable and the A/C works. Apartment units are also available.

A beautiful, clean, and safe place to stay. Especially if you are a fan of Cape Cod. This is a classic, affordable hotel to stay at.

Well worth it.

Located only a few miles south of Provincetown, the Sea Gull is the perfect, cheap getaway. It's rooms are old but clean and everything was in good working condition. A nice walk down to the bay waters. The beach was very dirty and I don't think, if the weather had allowed, I would have bothered to put a blanket down and sit for any length of time. This review is kind of neutral as I can't really say anything bad about the property but, I can't really say anything good either.
