“Nice place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2013

The food at the Sushi House is usually exceptional, this last visit being the exception. We arrived early on a Friday night and were seated immediately. Service was good with many excellent menu choices. The menu had delicious Miso soup, I asked the server if I could add shirmp to the soup I was told "we don't do that" yet a shirmp and clam Miso was offered. The Pad Thai was undercooked yet had good flavor. The drink menu is extensive. Parking is adequate on the street with a large lot in the rear.

“Food sound but service awful”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2013

We ate there recently and the quantity and quality of the food was reasonable. However, the service was awful: the waitress was inattentive , never looked us in the eye, and plonked food on the table, whilst taking orders on the mobile phone. She was surly, uncommunicative and the starter and main courses all arrived together without any apology.
The presentation of the restaurant was also poor with plastic, grubby table covers.

“Great Thai Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2013

We decided on take out so chose this restaurant due to location to our hotel (Holiday Inn). We got one sushi roll which was just okay. But we ordered two Thai Dishes that were outstanding. They were large portions, fresh ingredients, loaded with meat.

“Great choices and tasty Asian food in North Adams. MA.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

There is a lot to say about the very satisfying Asian Restaurant in North Adams. We chose the restaurant for a regular Monday evening dinner with friends which we call Chinese Mondays. The menu offers Chinese, Korean, Thai and Japanese dishes including excellent sushi. For the evening we choose dishes that can be shared and an order is placed with the pleasant owners by Monday afternoon. There are many favorite dishes and everyone's preferences are considered. Usually we have about 12 people for the meal but it can be as many as 23. Many dishes can be ordered so that there is something to please everyone. With 12 people we might order 9 dishes, with soup to start. Each person chooses a soup, usually Miso, Hot and Sour or Wonton. Also available are a Lobster and Clam Miso and Tom Ka Gai soup. A big plus is that they offer both brown and white rice and several fried rice dishes. Here are some of the favorite dishes. A crispy honey chicken with a real honey flavor; a delicate slightly spicey eggplant with garlic; Thai mango shrimp, always fresh and delicious; whatever fresh greens are available that day; a tofu dish with black bean sauce; Spicy Salted Pepper Shrimp; a noodle dish such as Pad Thai or Pad See You with big rice noodles. We often add something we have not tried before. Recently everyone loved a delicately flavored Massaman curry with chicken. We have also tried Kimchee Jigae, a stew with Kimchee, pork and tofu. The ingrediants were delicious but the sauce was a little too hot for some tastes. Also enjoyed have been Spicy Basil Chicken, Sesame Tofu, Teriyaki dishes and Asparagus Beef. The owner is very responsive to particular requests. For example we might want to try shrimp with ginger sauce instead of the chicken listed, or add a few cashews to a dish. The menu is long and includes appetizers, salads and a few desserts. Alcohol is available. My husband and I often enjoy lunch there and usually order a Bento Box for the very reasonable price of $9.25 which with a main choice includes rice,a california roll, Shumai, Gyoza, vegetables and salad. Otherwise I might choose cold tofu in a sesame sauce and a mango salad with beautifully sliced mango on greens.

The prices are very fair with main dishes in the $10 range with a few, such as duck or Kalbi, marinated short ribs, a few dollars more.
