“Meh!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2012 via mobile

I was a bit surprised that this hotel wasn't nicer for the price. The service was fine - check-in was fast and the front desk was helpful when we needed a cab. The room, however, was sub par. It smelled a bit musty and there were spots of mold all around the bathtub. Also, the hotel is literally over the expressway which was pretty strange and in the morning you could definitely hear the traffic. All in all, I'll probably check out a different hotel next time I'm in the area.

This is a nice hotel in every way except location. You need to be aware that there is a bus right across the street with a commuter schedule. 502 bus does not return after 7:00pm so if you want to get back you need to go to Kenmore square and get the 57 bus. It is very inconvenient. I took a cab twice and each time it was over $20.00. If you drive you have to take the turnpike which is crowded at times. Stay in the city for a lot more fun.

Room Tip: 4th floor was noisy

This is a good alternative to the sky-high hotel rates downtown since our $99 room was a third of the price of something in the city. The hotel is not convenient to the subway, but the 57 bus stops just a block away and goes to Kenmore Station near Fenway Park. That was perfect for my son and me since we'd come to Boston to catch a Red Sox game. It was a slow 40 minute ride heading in, but took only 20 minutes to get back after the game. Of course, you could also drive the six miles even faster if traffic is not heavy, but then you'd have to pay through the nose for parking.

The hotel charges $9 a night to park. Breakfast in not included.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on an upper floor. The lower floors can be noisy because the hotel is directly above...

We stayed there for 2 nights, occupying 3 rooms. Hotel is clean and updated right above the Masspike, you can't hear much of the traffic noise, only occasional loud engines. Pros are free wireless and low parking fee for a hotel in this scale ( only $ 9). Major down is personnel which has attitude issues across almost all levels. Example, we had 3 rooms but couldn't accomodate our request of low floor with some lame excuse. Overall stay was fine, nothing special though.

Apparently there is "quiet side of the hotel" but the majority of the rooms seem to be located right above the I-90. As there were no "quiet rooms" left I was moved up to the 4th floor but the traffic noise is clear as day. There also seems to be a train that literally makes the room shake when it goes by.

A fairly simple and straight forward stay. I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. It is spot on for all business requirements
Great wi-fi, clean place, great service , good breakfast and close to Boston. An area of improvement is on the restaurant ( very few options available in the menu). There are good places to eat along the street hence this weakness is overcome by the location of the hotel.
I would definitely go back and stay in this hotel and recommend it to all business travellers

Room Tip: To what I know all rooms face the street.

In town for a one day business trip and this was the closest Intercontinental/Priority Club hotel near where I'm going. It's very convenient to I-90, right above it in fact. As a platinum member, they comped the parking ( otherwise $9), gave me a coupon for a welcome drink and for breakfast and upgraded me to a king room on the top floor. Room seems great, although wifi is a little spotty. Great place to stay at government rate if you're in the priority club.
