“Amazing!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2014

We had dinner delivered to us atop the nearby lighthouse from this restaurant. The food was beyond wonderful-excellent from appetizers to desserts! Can't wait to return.

“A nice spot but the food did not impress us”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2014

We had a nice time at 10 Center Street on a warm spring afternoon. We ordered two flat breads, tater tots, charcuterie, and tasty tacos. They were all perfectly fine but nothing special. One exception: the pate on the charcuterie plate. We loved it!
All in all, a nice place - friendly staff and three different options for seating (outdoor, downstairs bar, upstairs), pretty kid-friendly. We'll probably come back and try some of the entrees.

“Nice Ambience...Average Food...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2014

Nothing special here...Weeknight specials are price attractive...but just average in quality...If you are here for a week...give it a weeknight try...

“Menu needs to change.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2014

I must say that every time I have visited this restaurant I have enjoyed the food until last week. The menu has stayed the same for a long time and really needs to add new items or change up some of the sides with the lunch. A plate full of French fries with every sandwich is getting old. The lobster croissant usually tastes great but the lobster may be out of season or the chef over cooked it. It was quite tough.
The restaurant has always been clean in this pub style setting. We'll try it at least one more time but looking forward to a changed menu.

“Much improved”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2014

Two years ago, in a Tripadvisor review, I really panned 10 Center. I am happy to say that they have changed their chef and that the food is really outstanding. We particularly like the lamb appetizer (called lamb lollipops because the lamb ribs look like lollipops...sort of!), perfectly cooked and with a to-die-for-sauce. The rack of lamb is great, too, as are most of the entrees. The whole menu has changed. Wine is quite expensive. We like chardonnay and the cheapest on the list is $60.00 which is WAY over-priced for the quality...I would guess, retail, the bottle would cost about $14.00. We always eat upstairs; it has a bar and a nice dining room whereas the downstairs is somewhat cramped. The atmosphere in the two floors is very attractive since the building is in is a very old Newburyport one. Newburyport, itself, is gorgeous!
