“Quality food, reasonable prices”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2012 via mobile

I enjoy eating lunch here when out with a friend, and its one of my favorite lunch places! Excellent quiche and egg dishes, as well as delicious pates, croquet Monsieur - it's an interesting, varied, and delicious menu. The ambiance is nice, quiet enough for relaxed conversation, you don't have to raise your voice to be heard. And very reasonably priced for the quality of food. Excellent service, too! A very nice spot in Needham.

Hustle and bustle of this local bistro makes for a fun night out. The food is consistently good with decent wine pairings

“Late lunch/early dinner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2012

After other appointments and before driving back to Cape Cod, we arranged to meet local friends and have a late lunch/early dinner at Petit Bistro Robert. Not knowing just what time we would get there, we were drawn to this restaurant by the fact that their website said they served from 11 AM to 10 PM. It was perfect. Extensive menu, with interesting special additions,
The lobster bisque was excellent and served hot, for all 4 of us. Then we all ordered different things, Each one was happy with their choice. One mistake in a drink order was quickly corrected. Service was excellent. We look forward to returning.

“Really enjoy eating at Petit Robert, even though the food isn't very good”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2012

It's probably the most authentic French restaurant in the Boston area and it's the cheapest place to get thing like sweetbreads, tripe, etc., prepared as you'd get them in Paris.

The problem is, they just aren't prepared particularly well. Martini was watery and salty (blue cheese stuffed olives and *very* heavy on the brine), my salad was wilted, and my calf's liver was tough. But my wife's farro-lentil cake was pretty good and the house smoked salmon was tasty. And service was quick and attentive for our large, 10 person party on a quiet Monday evening.
