“Very good food, elegant setting, overwrought”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2013

Ate here with very good friends; it was a nice treat. I enjoyed the arugula and beet salad; and the sole with blackeyed peas was excellent. The fresh bread from the boulangerie was, of course, an excellent treat. The menu was limited which can be good but the choices didn't inspire me; it seemed like a "one of each" - atlantic salmon, duck, sole, risotto, chicken, ribeye, bass - each with a little fanfare added. From the website to the waitstaff to the decor to the price tag, it feels like they are trying too hard to make this something other than just excellent sustainable cuisine.

“Good for Lunch... Should be better”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2013

This place, now the remaining location of the brand, should really be better considering their L'Espalier pedigree. I've found the food to be hit or miss so I'm tired of playing the roulette wheel at this price point. I've always found it to be a little too pricey for what they deliver. For lunch it's a better bet... more consistent and at a better price value ratio.

“Excellent!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013 via mobile

The cheese plate was well selected. The salad was scrumptious. The golden sea bad with kalamata orzo was perfect. The Riesling was superb, and the staff couldn't have been nicer. The quick background acoustic classic guitar music, piped in on high quality speakers, added to the relaxed ambience.

Give this place another try. The staff is warm and welcoming.

“Great service, delicious food, a bit pricey”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2013

I was there with a large group of friends. Our host booked the private room, since we were celebrating birthdays. It was great to be in that room, so that we could make some noise. It was very tight for 14 people though.

The menu is small; a few salads and just seven entrees (plus a special). However, everyone seemed to enjoy their choices. Mine was the lamb stew en croute -- very hearty on a cold night.

The servers were very attentive and friendly. We had a great time.

“Big family birthday party- well done”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2013

We had a large group (9) the other night, including 3 children. They put us in a private room in the back (only seats about 10 max), which was perfect because the kids could get up and "run" around, without bothering the other diners. The risotto was excellent, the kids burgers were huge, and everyone left very satisfied. The wait staff was also very good, especially in dealing with the children. Easy to get to, easy to park, and good food. The menu is rather small, but there is fish, chicken and steak as well as a vegetarian option (risotto), so there should be something for everyone.
