Good food but terrible service! It's sporadic at best. If you have a lot of time on your hands, maybe this is the place to go.

“Don't Bother - go to Turks”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2013

The chowder house was so good when it was in the smaller place on the other side of route 6, went there all the time for sit down meals and all kinds of take out. Once they moved into their current location several years ago, however, the quality of the food and the service went way downhill. Tried it several times before admitting it just wasn't good any more. It's expensive too. Go to Turks up the street, as another reviewer suggested. Or for the best chowder in town, get some to go from On The Go, also up the street!

“It was just ok.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2013

A little over priced, nothing special. It was a hot day and it was hot inside. Service was good but it was hard to enjoy ourselves because it was hot inside. I would rather try something else next time. Not terrible but not worthy of a return trip.

“Best clam cakes on earth!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2013 via mobile

MCH has a great vibe on a saturday evening with live music, was a little loud for enjoying a quiet dinner but great to relax with friends. Most delicious clam chowder and the brick oven pizza was good also but left a funny after taste the clam cakes though are out of this world delicious, I could eat those daily! The decor is just average, nothing fancy. And our waitress was nice but seemed a little frazzled. I would go back, just for clam cakes though.
