A fabulous B&B in every sense of the term. Rooms, spotless, cold, hot and sparkling water available. Private entrance. Great breakfast (included) and fresh coffee in the early morning. What's not to like? I hesistate to write the review as I'm afraid the availabilty will be harder and the prices will go up, but what's fair is fair. A great New England experience and a great gift certificate to purchase for others.

This inn is very charming with lovely ocean views from every guest room. We had to come into town for a family funeral and stayed on a weeknight. The room was large, nicely decorated, and very comfortable. We had dinner in the restaurant downstairs - the food was excellent and we ate next to the open fireplace in the bar dining area. When we were shown to our room, we were told muffins and coffee would be placed on the buffet outside the room -- that's the complimentary "continental" breakfast included during the week. (I understand that full cooked breakfast is available if you stay here on a weekend.) The next morning I could smell the coffee, and popped out to the buffet... There was a fresh pot of coffee out, but... no muffins. Or any other food. Luckily, there is an excellent breakfast place called Brant Rock Hop 5 minutes down the road so we had breakfast there. When we got back, we needed to change for the wake and had some ironing to do. There was an iron in the room, but no ironing board. I went downstairs to ask someone but was met by cleaning crew and a cook from the kitchen. There is no inn staff on premises until 10am, so make sure you have everything you need BEFORE you go to bed! I went back up and continued my ironing board search... I noticed that the unoccupied rooms were left open, so I actually checked to see if there was a board in any other room. Strangely, each room had an iron but no board. I gave up at that point, but did have a chance to see the other rooms and they are all very nice. So, bottom line, a few organization problems keeps me from giving this place an Excellent rating, but we would come back again for the food, room, and view. Side note: they have wifi with super-fast internet.

The Fairview Inn is everything that's great about B&B's and everything that's great about New England. We flew in to Boston late and grabbed a rental car to head down here. The innkeeper assured us they would be available until at least midnight to check us in. We arrived at 9:00pm and not only was there a pleasant face to greet us, the restaurant downstairs was still open and ready to serve us a late dinner. Amazing!

It's the tiny touches here that make all the difference. We checked in just after Thanksgiving, and a tiny Christmas tree awaited us in the room. Adorable. The rooms are spacious and cozy, and overlook a beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean. While it's cold here this time of year, I can't wait to come back in the summertime and experience the sounds and smells of the ocean in the morning!

The food in the restaurant downstairs is incredible (best clam chowder I've ever had!), and breakfast is complimentary with the room. Overall, it's a great place to stay, and I'm so glad to have had the experience of coming here!

Our second time staying here. Both times 2 rooms. Each room unique and very nice. The family that runs the inn really is fantastic. After a day in Boston dealing with some of the north eastern "friendliness" or lack there of it was nice to come back to the inn. This is one those places maybe off the beaten path a little that rightfully sits among the great places to stay.
