Arrived on the Thursday of "Snowmageddon Weekend" Checkin took about 30 seconds, and I had key in hand. The room was great, overlooking the atrium. We were there for the Van Council convention, and we could not have asked for any better accomodations. Obviously, the storm caused havoc outside, but in the building, you'd never know it was snowing. The staff was awesome, despite the fact they were snowbound with us, too. George at the bar kept us hydrated with humor and a smile the entire time the bar was open. The servers in the restaurant were completely overwhelmed by Saturday, but kept right on smiling. The management bent over backwards to make sure we had all the stuff we needed to make the weekend great.
Ice machines unable to keep up
The rooms need humidifiers built in to the heaters
Surly attitude by the bartender at the party Friday night
attitude of everyone that works there
I found it interesting that 350 of us were able to have a great time, hang out, wander the halls and drink with our friends, and one room full of locals caused the police to be called...
