“Excellent customer service and location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2013

We stopped here on way from Maine to DC. Staff kept office open late as they knew 4 more groups were arriving! They escorted us to site and were very helpful directing us into backup site.
Site was beautiful. Campground is heavily wooded yet our 37' RV had tons of room front and back as well as ample room to maneuver around slideouts. Site had picnic table and rock fire ring. Site was not cramped at all.
Didnt use restrooms or showers at CG so cant comment.
Location is convenient to Boston and I495. We definitely recommend this campground and will return when we are back in the area.

We stayed 3 nights over the past holiday weekend to enjoy a relaxing weekend and attend a local hockey tournament. Great customer service - check in was easy and quick, and we were promptly escorted to our site.

Quiet campground and bathrooms were kept very clean.

Had blown a tire on our trip to the campground and owner was extremely helpful with assisting us in a replacement. What could have turned into hours of our vacation time spent finding a service center for a new tire was made quite smoothly and stress free.

Would definitely go back and recommend to others.

Wow! 2 nights. Great service, relaxed atmosphere, great sites, great laundry, good shop. The trees were TREEMENDOUS! Absolutely lovely. Like being far out in the country in a huge forest. Loved the little chipmunks (hey, I'm from South Africa, we don't have them here!) Would definitely go back and recommend to others.

we are currently at this campground in a very large RV. as we approached it is up a steep hill and we thought we might be in trouble but not so. the office had someone in a golf cart take us the easiest way to our spot, hopping out to assist along the way. at check-in, i was handed a map of the campground with the rules on the back, and a paper with restaurants, stores, and local activities in the area, WITH directions and phone numbers. very refreshing! it is quiet and very well maintained. much classier than many of our recent stops. the only drawback is zero satellite reception, but they do offer cable. it is close to many things so day trips are not overly exhausting. but we come back to quiet and serene in the campground with beautiful trees.

Room Tip: big rigs ask for spots 1, 2 or 3 for pull thrus. there are some back in spaces that will also work...

Thank you for taking the time to review us and for mentioning your experience as a 'big rig' owner. We are constantly looking at how we can improve the 'big rig' campers' stay because there are more and more people opting for larger RVs these days.

Satellite is a tough one. Our trees are so tall there is just no clear view for them and loosing our trees would mean losing a lot of our character. That's why we offer cable on every full hookup site.

I'm glad we were a good jumping off point for you to explore our area!

In regards to your room tip: we are thrilled that you liked these sites! I'd just like to mention that we cannot guarantee any site numbers before check in. Please always be specific with your needs and our fully trained staff will make sure to take care of you.

We hope to see you again soon!

We decided to start our season with our new trailer here at Boston Minuteman. We had been here before so we knew what to expect. Nice clean, neat campground. As we arrived we noticed improvements that were made with repaving many areas around the office/store. The campground was pretty empty the weekend we were there and we had some rain but my wife and I were able to relax and enjoy our weekend. My son was able to stay with us a bit which was not an issue and a good time was had. Our site was great, one of the best firepits in the place and there are many great one here. The campground is not far from many stores so we were able to go out and get the items that we did not have to be set for the season. The number of insects that we had to deal with when we arrived was tough but they were only an issue at set up and had gone away for the most part the rest of the weekend. This is a little gem of a park.

Thank you for your return business - it's always nice to have a familiar face come through the door!

It's been fun making the changes you noticed out front. In fact, changes like these are where we have unearthed the great rocks we use to build our fireplaces!

I'm sorry about the bugs - the black flies were tough this Spring.

We hope to see you again soon!

My girlfriend and I spent a night here when we were visiting Boston, and as were very good at leaving things unorganized, we booked this campsite very late on. The staff were fantastic at accommodating us and when we arrived they were very informative on the amenities, the location of our site and the travel times to the city. We had a trusty tent with us and located our plot easily. It was clean, had a nice fire pit and to my surprise, wifi! This campsite is perfect for people of all ages, and it is quiet at night too. If you are looking to go towards Boston, it will take you around 40 mins. To us it was close enough to the city while still being able to experience a natural, modern camping experience.

Chose this campground due to it's central location to 10 of the oldest Geocaches in the New England area. Stayed for a week and found all of the caches placed in year 2000 and many more along the way.

Campground was very clean and they kept the pool open an extra week. Lots to see and do in the area. We did lots of daytrips and enjoyed a fire at the site almost every night.

Sites were nice and the people here very friendly.

Room Tip: All the sites are nice, cable tv only where there is full hookups
