“Pool table in room! Great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

Alex is a warm and inviting homeowner. We brought our bikes along to ride the nearby Minuteman trail. Way too much fun to have a pool table in the room! Home-made French toast in the morning. Yum. Street/driveway parking. Strolled nearby Lexington (one main street) ate a casual dinner and had ice cream.

Enjoyable experience, made my trip to the Cambridge/Harvard area unique, with pleasantly memories. The 'Rest' is located in a residential area, the warmth of the ambiance of the house and accommodation makes one feel 'Home away from home'.
Within easy driving distance from metro to get to greater Boston area. Five minute drive from Lexington and its vast array of restaurants
Generous breakfast menu.
Interesting guests and conversations at breakfast.
Privacy of the accommodation and clean bathroom.

Room Tip: Call and reserve early, all three rooms are well furnished and comfortable.

My wife & son & I spent one evening at Morgan's Rest B&B and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The B&B was very charming and in a beautiful, quiet residential section of Lexington. We stayed in the pool room which has a pool table in it. My son & I enjoy playing pool together so the pool table was alot of fun for us. The room is large and well appointed. The king size bed was extremely comfortable. Alex was friendly and a wonderful hostess. Alex was helpful when we needed directions to restaurants, local sights and the airport. The breakfast was very tasty, particularly the homemade muffins and jam. I highly recommend Morgan's Rest B&B to anyone visiting Lexington.

We were looking for an alternative to a over-expensive stay in Boston and we came across this lovely family-run B&B. Lexington is a quiet and pretty town itself, and if you have a car (if not you're probably not ending up here) it takes only 10 minutes to drive to the metro station (no parking problems there) and with a 15 min ride you're in Boston center. The couple who runs the place is very welcoming and every morning they prepare an excellent home-made fresh breakfast. The rooms are spacious enough, with the only downside is the bed being a bit too creaky. An enjoyable stay and to be repeated for sure if i happen to be again in Boston.

Room Tip: The Sunset room is maybe the smallest of the 3 available, but surely big enough for a couple. We wer...

Morgan Rest nestles in a quiet area a short drive from the historic town of Lexington. The rooms are spacious and well furnished, combining comfort and elegance. The Pool Room we stayed in had a generous seating area, lots of natural light, a high ceiling, and a real live functional Pool table. The hosts are flexible and the breakfasts generous. All in all this was a great deal and if you want to visit Lexington this is your best bet.

Room Tip: Try the Pool Room if you like space, especially if you have a lot of luggage. Of course if you are a...

My husband and I enjoyed our 5-night stay at Morgan's Rest that is set in a quiet and residential area. The inn has vintage furnishings and a welcoming innkeeper who attends to all your needs. The breakfasts typically include a cut fresh fruit melange, eggs & bacon, and/or something else specially prepared like pancakes, muffins, coffee cake, bread, or quiche. If you need special dietary accommodations, just speak up and your needs will be met. Alix, the innkeeper, will help you with whatever you may need to make your stay comfortable. Service and hospitality are outstanding. I would return here again.

Room Tip: The Sunset Room with its double bed is cozy and adequate for a couple. If you need more room to set...

My recent three night stay at Morgan's Rest fulfilled all my expectations and I will definitely be planning to return here for my future visits. The convenience of the location, the quiet street, delicious homemade breakfasts, peaceful and cozy accommodations and the warmth of the hospitality all combined to merit choosing this oasis as my base for future visits to Boston.

My son and I stayed in the Follen room which had two very comfortable twin beds and it's own bathroom, a separate shower, and TV.

I look forward to our return visits!

My only suggestion is that a larger, lighted sign needs to be outside as I had difficulty seeing both the house numbers and B&B sign wording when arriving in the night.

Room Tip: This room is large enough to also utilize a roll in folding bed if needed w/o crowding the room.
