I’ve been here since August 3rd and have to check out tomorrow. I hate to go! I found this hotel on Trip Advisor and reading the new reviews find they cover most everything. The staff is unbelievably courteous and helpful. It has been a terrific place to stay if you have to work in the Lexington, Concord, or even Bedford area. It is also a great location for tourist activities.

I would like to add to the current reviews. The social hour is Monday through Thursday from 6 pm to 7:30 pm. Sometimes on Wednesdays they cook hamburgers and hotdogs on the patio grill. Breakfast is available from 6:30 am until 9:30 am during the week and 7 am to 10 am on the weekends. (There were a couple of weekends when the hotel was full and breakfast seemed like a mad house compared to the week days.) This hotel is also pet friendly. The hotel has a shuttle running on the weekends that will take you to Burlington Mall or Alewife Train Station.

They are working on the shower problem. I think they are finished with the first floor installing a rubber gasket on the bottom of the door. I have just been laying a towel down. It didn’t seem like a big deal because there are so many great things about this hotel.

I agree about this hotel being hard to spot from Rt 128! It’s exit 30A and it helps to look for the signs for Minuteman National Historical Park and Hanscom Air Field. The Park literally begins across the street. If you miss the exit traveling south, take the SECOND exit to come back around or you will be taking a scenic drive!

I don’t know about the comment about the air conditioning blowing over the bed. I have been on the 4th floor the whole time and my air conditioner blows the blind on my window, not the bed. Also I haven’t had anyone walking over me! I have heard people talking in the hall.

Here are some tips:

Concord has good tourist things to do including the historical center which has shops and several restaurants. I liked Walden Grille the best. http://waldengrille.com/ The Old North Bridge is a nice walk from either side. Great Meadows National Wildlife Refuge has a great trail for walking or running. Minuteman National Historical Park has a 5.5 mile trail good for walking, biking or running. There is a Rite Aid in Concord but no grocery store.

Lexington has lots of restaurants on Massachusetts Avenue as well as a CVS. The CVS has large photos from the past of what that strip used to look like in their windows. My favorite restaurant there is Not Your Average Joes. http://www.notyouraveragejoes.com/locations/# It’s near the Starbucks. There is parking in the back for this strip. There is also a Walgreens in Lexington and a small Stop & Shop grocery store. The Super Stop & Shop is in Bedford which is one exit north.

I would describe the great design, comfort, and staff courtesy we found at the Element Lexington, but so many other reviewers have already done so. Everything said is true. On top of it all it incorporates "green" concepts throughout, proving it can be done without sacrificing a feeling of luxury or any comfort.

The place itself is really beautiful, nestled in the woods and very handy to Minute Man National Historical Park with great trails for biking and hiking. We were provided with two free bikes for a morning workout combined with history lesson as there are information markers all along the trails. In fact, the whole Lexington area is history-loaded.

Breakfast was simple but completely adequate for most tastes.

There was a pleasant social hour, complimentary, with beer, wine and snacks. The big, open lobby is beautifully designed for comfortable hanging out, with different activity areas including a Wii screen.

While its target clientele is long-term business and it has all the business accoutrements, the hotel is fine for families, couples old and young, and for swingers - you can walk across to the Aloft (a partner hotel) bar for a little neon and amusement.

Some caveats:
Although the Element is just off Route 95/128 it is very hard to find. Apparently, signage isn't permitted at the turnoff for the entrance.

Pool quite small but good for children, not for real swimmers.

There's no restaurant at the hotel but plenty of choice in Lexington center, a short drive.

This is a new hotel so there are still some start-up glitches such as our shower door designed so the water gushes out under it on to the bathroom floor (not very eco); not enough brochures on hand for bike trails and things to do in the area, but – att. travelingmannyc - there is now a good selection of newspapers available in the lobby.

Bottom line: Absolutely great hotel.

Brand new hotel in Lexington, only about 10 min. drive to Alewife "T" "(i.e. subway) station, where there is a huge parking garage. Hotel is immaculately clean. Ultra post-modern design throughout. Room had refirgerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, sink, hi def TV, internet connection, VERY comfortable beds. Seems to cater to business travellers, and price drops noticably on weekends. This is a real gem in an area which tends to be extremely expensive. For those interested in US history, the hotel is very close to some of the sites associated with the opening events of the American rebellion of 1775-76. Price included an EXCELLENT breakfast - hot and cold items.

Our stay at the Element was very good. The hotel is brand new, and they are still working on the outside, but the inside was amazing! It is very modern and the rooms have the feel of a loft, ten foot ceilings, everything in one room and all the newest technologies at your fingertips. The staff was wonderful. My only complaint was the luke warm coffee and the breakfasts foods ran out often, when there were many people, and the food was luke warm too. There are no restaurants at this exit, but just a short drive brings you many choices. All in all I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for something different, new and fun.

Staying in a nearly brand-new hotel is a lot of fun, and we loved the way the hotel looks. The lobby is spacious and has a wonderful modern decor. We didn't use the fitness center, but that, too, was an attractive space. The room was a nice size, and we loved the shower. When we asked for extra bath towels, we immediately received even more than we had requested. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and relatively healthy, too!
We had a few problems with the room, though. First of all, whomever designed the heating/AC had cold air blowing directly on our heads in our bed throughout the night. We were either freezing or too warm (if we shut the AC off). There was no way to adjust the vents, negating the fact that the bed was wonderful and comfortable.
The rooms aren't soundproof, either, and we heard every word of a loud conversation in the room next door. We also heard lots of footsteps above us in the morning, and a lot of noise from the hallway.
As much as we loved the way the hotel looked and its design, neither one of us ended up with a good night's sleep.
