My wife and I stayed at the Walker House in October of 2003. We have stayed in six other B&B's over the past four years. The Walker House ranks at the very bottom in my opinion. The house is in a general state of disrepair (understandable to a degree considering the main part of the home was built in 1804). A renovation is badly needed. Our guest room was no exception as the wall to wall carpet was frayed and the bath tub was in need of re-caulking due to black staining in the seams of the tub enclosure. The breakfast is continental and consisted of mini-muffins, croissants, and cereal. Coffee and tea was available. An after noon tea time is advertised, but when we arrived in the parlor at about 4:45 PM no tea or snacks were in evidence. I also the checked the dining room. I am not sure if this after noon tea was self serve or not. If it was I had no idea where to look for the victuals. The one exeptional aspect of the Inn is the large movie screen and generous selection of movies to choose from in the libarary. I believe that for the money ($160.00 US per night), we did not get the breakfast or accomondations we expected. I have stayed at much better Inns and B&B's for the same or less money.
